Going through it with you two is my second time watching and this may have become my favorite episode. The alternate dimension storyline with Powder and Ekko is so cool to me.

I think the best and worst of Arcane season 2 are found in this episode- amazing character work but they’re trying to rush the introduction of incredibly complex sci-fi concepts…on top of Hex Tech, new chaos ruins, new flower-based magicians, Viktor’s hive mind powers, Vander’s reanimation, etc they are also introducing parallel dimensions and time travel in one episode It’s clear they just want everyone to have their game powers, but it’s a bit too much and it gets hard to follow and the concepts feel thinly developed. With that said, still one of the best shows on television

as many have said "Jayce fought through hell to get home and Ekko gave up heaven to get home." this is my favorite episode but there are more exciting things to come! Heimerdinger is "dead" but his race cannot die and respawn in Bandle city so he will be okay

I'm not religious, but I think it's cool imagery when Jayce is carrying his hammer over his shoulder. It has strong resemblance to Jesus bearing his cross, maybe symbolizing how Jayce is carrying the weight of his sins.

Another small attention to detail of this show. Ekko can go back 4 seconds in time. The song where he dances with Powder is made at 4 frames per second.

fancy meeting you both here, fellow simps lol

watch the song with the subtitles btw, the lyrics are meaningful about ekko/powder relationship, or I think they call their relationship the TimeBomb (becausee echo out of his time, rewinding , and powder's name as in powder keg BOOM) I believe that both ekko/heim and jayce saw the "what could have been vs what could be", and that the arcane in itself, in its chaotic nature, has shown us what piltover could have been , almost like a "what if" episode from marvel, but jayce saw what might happen to piltover if things go as bad as he believes, that's probably why he came back full of fear of arcane, and when he saw viktor almost ascended like the herald of the arcane, he thought that by killing viktor, who wanted to still pursue arcane, no one else can crack hextech/arcane and he can save his world from what he saw might happen

So, will you be reacting to Daredevil: Born Again week by week as it comes out?

Same 😂

Jayce’s story is very similar to an episode arc in the Justice League show from the 00s. The one where Superman “dies” but is actually sent forward to the future and teams up with vandal savage he even grows a beard too. Figured Holden would’ve watched that show back in the day.

I thought I was going to sleep and then this popped up. This is probably my favorite episodes of this season as well. My heart needed something hopeful after the last episode.

This is hands down my favorite episode of the season and the series. It was so sad seeing what could have been 😭
Matt
My fav episode of the whole series!!! The song playing during the Ekko/Powder scene has a really bittersweet and sad translation but it fits so well.

The Powder & Ekko alt timeline is so good.

Just some game info (Not spoilers), Heimerdinger's race (Yordle) are magical beings when they die, end up back into their own magical realm (or pocket dimension) called Bandle City. Heimerdinger's body got absorbed by the anomaly same as what happened to Sky (Jayce and Viktor's assistant) who got dusted when she tried to help Viktor remove his hand on the Hexcore. Basically they respawn. Smeech (Chem Baron who Sevika killed), and the small lady creature who runs the brothel in the undercity are also Yordles. It's unclear though if they end up back into their own timeline/universe
Timothy Mills
Oh lol. People on tiktok were saying he stayed behind because he liked it there lol.

For the purpose of this show, heimerdinger is indeed dead. However background lore of his species, those creatures called yordles "respawn" in their home world. So he's essentially dead to these characters and this story
Jude
So this episode basically shows two potential timelines. Heimerdinger and Ekko ended up in a timeline where Hextech wasn't invented whereas Jayce went into a future timeline where Hextech was invented which ended up causing the downfall of Piltover and Zaun and is likely where their current timeline is headed. That's why Jayce wanted to put an end to Hextech so badly once he got back to his reality.
Jude
He didn't stay behind though he got vaporized. You see a piece of the lever portion fly off so Heimerdinger has to go manually fix it. That's why Ekko was yelling at him to stop because he knew Heimgerdinger leaving to fix the machine while it was on was dangerous. Heimerdinger's species is special though and death isn't necessarily the end if they go by the game's lore.

I can’t wait for your reaction to the next two episodes, everything is finally answered. Jayce, everyone couldn't tell if he was becoming a villain or not, but it's pretty clear he's the hero and he has to stop Viktor, but we don't find why until episode 8 or 9. But in ready for you guys to find out why.
