Only part of Jennys story I can't excuse is not telling Forrest he had a son. All of her actions up till then were a result from the trauma she suffered from very early on, but that I just can't reconcile with - I know some people think she didn't trust the concept of fatherhood after what her dad did, but she trusted him enough to get in contact when she knew she was sick. And I have to believe that if she never got sick, she never would have got in touch with Forrest again and he never would have known he had a son.

Fun fact there was going to be a sequel to Forrest Gump but Tom Hanks didn’t want to risk it. The story was supposed to be about Forrest finding out that little Forrest was sick with AIDS being born with it and that was what killed Jenny. Personally I’m glad they never made it
