I read the original novel (and MDZS from the same author) and they're AWESOME. The animation from the PV looks promising and I have high hope.

I think it depends on personal opinion, I like Scumbag System more than the other two maybe because I read it first? Like you, I don't like the live action drama, I watched only two episodes then dropped it, the animation is much better IMO.
Really? Everybody said Scumbag System is good but not as good as the other two. I personally like TGCF more than MDZS. I watch MDZS animation adaptation and then the latest chapter of the manga before reading then novel (because I couldn’t wait for the slow releases) and then watched the live-action drama for the sake of comparison (because I don’t usually watch live action). To me, the drama is a disappointment, but it still gets the highest score of all time at My Drama List https://mydramalist.com/shows/top Despite the low budget cg, I don’t like the way they altered the story. The puppet and yin iron were stupid. The “ending” of wwx’s previous life (which I found many people didn’t notice when I read comments). The Yi City arc was totally screwed.

That's true, I don't think I will be able to read HOB and MDZS again because they are so long! Scumbag System is good, it's actually my fav out of all three but it looks like it's not as popular as its siblings LOL
Wow. It requires huge effort to read that long novel again. I just started reading Scumbag System.
