Patreon Messed Up - Please Check Your Pledges!
🕑 Added 2018-08-02 14:26:02 +0000 UTC Hello lovely Patrons!It seems Patreon messed up a little last night and some credit cards have been declined. It's happening to a lot of creators, it's affected me to the tune of a few hundred dollars, so best to check your pledge went through just to be on the safe side!

If it said your pledges were successful, you don't need to do anything; you'll get an email if it failed. It seems that PayPal moved their payment processing to the the UK, so people in the USA were suddenly making international, instead of domestic, payments; this triggered a lot of banks' fraud detection which locked a few people's cards.
I'm guessing that a payment wouldn't come up as 'successful' on the payments page if it hadn't been? I don't spend too much time on the site so I may be missing something.
Everything seems fine for me and mine - can someone upload a screenshot of what the dashboard would look like if a payment had been declined?

Yeah, that was weird. I got a text asking me if I was really giving to Patreon, I replied yes, and it still declined my card. When I retried, I got a call asking the same thing. I said yes again. (I switched to Paypal temporarily, just to be sure.)
