The bit (in the second video) about calling someone a fr**k resonated so deeply with me. It's one reason I try to avoid name-calling completely - it's always a form of abuse. And while I've called harmful people names plenty of times out of anger, I think it always carries the risk of hurting others. When I am calm, I try to focus on how their behavior causes harm, or how I feel about a person, rather than attributing those feelings and behavior to a projected identity. I love the way you value the mental effort of tracking hurtful words. One way to make that effort easier is to avoid insulting anyone at all. That takes mental effort too, but I find it more rewarding.
