I still can’t believe that black and white, what people consider the worst pokemon anime generation had one of the best team rocket dynamics. They were actually a problem in that generation. Since black and white were my first introduction to pokemon I have some bias towards it. But I will always defend the team rocket in black and white to be amazing!

Going from the awful Kanto battles, to Ash losing to Viola in his first gym battle probably threw Bloom off a little, making it seem like Ash will always lose at least once. Ash was a novice at the start, and people generally agree his Kanto gym battles mostly sucked, either he didn't earn the badge, or had beginner's luck or something. Ash mostly does his next battles first try, him losing at least once is occasional

I feel you mate, I didn't enjoy Ash vs Ramos (I Watched it when i was like 12 and I was like, THIS IS SOME BULLSH-). And I understand your frustration with Team Rocket. They aren't the best in X&Y (Best when they were in Sun and Moon, the series after X&Y). Serena you don't like which I understand (for now).

I honestly have such a love-hate relationship with Team Rocket (leaning more on hate), and honestly, XY Team Rocket are one of my least favourite versions of them (the series before them, Black and White, had a way better Team Rocket). If it makes you feel better, Ramos is the most forgettable Kalos gym leader, the next ones, especially 3 of them are so much better. I hope I didn't mess up by comparing Serena fans in Pokemon to Ryuga fans in Beyblade, because I didn't mean the characters were similar, just the fanbases. Also, that presents episode, whether you love it or hate it, was mainly shipping bait. On that note, here's a random question, Serena or Misty? (I didn't include Dawn because the movies didn't show her character enough)

Btw CBloom, this is not a spoiler for future gym battles in XY or anything but ever since the first pokemon season in Kanto, ash has been able to win against most gym leaders on his first try. Like it is more common than you might think.

If it makes you feel better, ash vs Ramos is the worst gym battle in XY. The next 4 are much much better. So it can’t get any worse in terms of gym battles. Team rocket…….ummmm

Yeah, second part of XY is mostly mid. Will get better in the end + some addition to characters(Ash vs Klemont is also hard). Ramos is just a generic gym leader, like in the games (Korrina played a huge role, unlike Ramos or Klemont). And also SERENA WILL GET MUCH BETTER LIKE IN 2 EPS OR SOMETHING
