It’s Pokémon movie 8, definitely also highly recommend it same with Pokemon Heroes (movie 5) and Pokemon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea (movie 9) if you’re debating on going back to the older movies before diamond and pearl

The series have legendaries clashing against each other too but not as much compared to the movies, that's why yk? Focus more on the fights and like you said, the movies have amazing animation and art when compared to the series.

I feel you bro it's kinda my fault that i get you started on peak, i know it's really hard not to compare but as you know, movie 10-12 are basically the peak of the movies. Yeah i get that the plot and stories are what's important but you gotta know that only during the movies will you see legendaries clash like that and rip each other apart. I mean the series have that too, in terms of villian wise. The series aka show have better villians than the movies since they are a team of villians with goals you could understand better. Xyz have pretty cool villians and you will see that in no time. I understand everything that you said bloom but yk? Be like me, i enjoyed the movies because of the battles. View it in a different point of view, some legendaries will only appear in the movies so that is their only chance to shine.

It’s really hard not to compare since they all within the same series. That’s my big issue I want some STORY MAN😂ik yall prolly think for me full action= automatically👍but its pointless if the story is 🤢 since that’s what serves the plot (which is why I don’t like God of Highschool ) cuz like yk where the tension?🥲that’s what gets me hyped up cuz I know what’s on the line for the opposing sides. The whole lead up was not well done to me icl

Of course, at the end of the day Pokemon is a video game franchise. The heart and soul of the whole brand are the games. Everything else is marketing and unfortunately the anime sometimes gets the brunt of that. The Black & White anime is generally considered the worst seasons of the entire Pokemon anime so the movies of this era are not that good by default. Reason for that is that they attempted to do a reboot and revert Ash back to what he was before which backfired. That’s what caused XY’s Ash to be more in line with Diamond & Pearl’s Ash compared to B&W due to the backlash. Hopefully you find something good in future reactions if you do continue

Tbh I’m kind of having fun watching these movies and able to rip them to shreds that’s why I keep on watching (im weird) and as for the demographic part, I always wanted to mention “maybe I’m too old for this” but it doesn’t excuse it for being some doo doo cuz there are other movies that are aimed for the same demographic that are better. Movie felt like it was made to advertise the game

I feel you, Coca Cola. I can't help but feel like the Pokemon movies are divisive in general with individual reputations. You can see varied opinions on both ends for each movie. E.g. someone may like M3 but I saw someone else absolutely hate it, same with M17 and M18, I saw positive and negative opinions for each of those. Even M14-16 can have their fans and haters. Something about each of the Pokemon movies has that kind of reputation. Look's like Bloom's opinions on M14-16 really doesn't help Black and White's already negative reputation

I get the hate for these movies, you started at the peak of the movies and these are a little lighter, but trust me the xy movies are amazing

I feel like you shouldn't compare it to movie 12 since that was really peak in terms of movies wise. Just enjoy it yk? Don't expect every movies to be like that It's totally alright if you dislike certain movies, that's the whole point of reacting to it and us watching your reaction haha. A lot of movies just see the fight scenes mostly instead of focusing too much on the plot. For me back then when i watched them, i enjoyed because of seeing legendaries battling, something you don't see it often in the series.

Man honestly I’m sorry that you feel like that. As much as I love Pokemon nobody can force you to continue watching something you don’t like and is just going to get to a point where you might just straight up hate the whole thing if you don’t already. You already stopped once and I’m for blame for you starting it again with XY so I’m sorry for that. Pokemon has a lot of great things but like everything is not for everyone due to decisions that at the end of the day is a TV show aimed at a younger demographic so things are just you know everything comes down to that.
