When I started my vacation, I wasn't sure if I wanted to take one or two weeks off but last week was all about fixing things that needed to be fixed, doing chores that had built up and almost getting in a car accident. Not the most relaxing week but it does feel good to be all reset on the things that needed to be done.
That said, I'll take this week off too. I'm just going to veg out with games, shows and swimming breaks.

You should strive for two weeks as a baseline, the first week is usually used on winding down, and it is first at the start of the second week you start to feel like you are having holidays, and start relaxing.
