Character TMI - Zephyr
🕑 Added 2025-07-10 15:36:28 +0000 UTCđŁ Name: Zephyr đż
⨠Traits:
Green hair, blue eyes, cannot speak to others, often wears a submissive and sorrowful expression đ
đ Introduction:
Zephyr is a quiet, green-haired man who doesnât speak. What kind of past led him to this state? Will you uncover his story and help him regain his dignity? Or will you make him face the fate he was always destined for...?
Zephyr rounds out the first group of four survivors: Raymond, Cain, Leonard, and Zephyr. Among them, I admit Zephyr holds a special place in my heart đâhe was the very first character I created CGs for. You might've noticed during your playthrough. That doesnât mean he gets any special treatment, but his unique background probably resonates more with many players.
Zephyr is the only survivor who canât speak. While the wizard also canât communicate at first, that's just before he obtains the "black energy." In contrast, Zephyr remains silent even after obtaining it. Thatâs because, as many of you guessed, he wasnât summoned from another worldâheâs someone who has always lived in this one đ. Unlike the others, Zephyr has long accepted his hopeless reality, which is why he was already in the dungeon in such a broken state.
Of course, Zephyr wasnât always so submissive. As youâll learn from his story, he was once a knight commander âď¸. The details are a bit complex, but suffice to say, if a knight like him was captured by dungeon monsters, he wouldâve fought back fiercely. However, something happenedâsomething that made him surrenderâand he ended up being used as a sex slave, merely waiting to die. If you delay rescuing him too long, you might even find him already dead... đ
Because of this background, Zephyr is one of the fastest characters to fall into the corruption route đ. That route is still shorter and less detailed than the romance route, but I plan to gradually improve it. Honestly, itâs emotionally hard to write sometimes đŁ. But heyâif Zephyr must be with someone, better a human than a monster... right?
Originally, Zephyr was going to have olive-colored hair, but that shade was inconsistent in SD assets, so I simplified it. I chose blue eyes to give him a gentler vibe đď¸. A lot of players say Zephyr reminds them of a big, sad puppy đśâand Iâm glad that came through. His silence also makes dialogue scenes easier to write, since I donât have to worry about giving him lines! đ Though I admit, it sometimes turns into a one-man monologue by the protagonist... Please imagine that Zephyr understands by reading the mood đ
There are relationship links between survivors behind the scenes. One future character already planned will have a close connection with Zephyrâso keep an eye out đ
If you like Zephyr, give this post a â¤ď¸! And feel free to share your thoughts in the comments đŹ

To rescue Zephyr, please follow these steps: 1. When you first enter the 10th basement floor, go to the room where Zephyr is trapped and choose "Observe / Keep observing / Come back later after gaining strength." 2. You must find a note that teaches you how to use dark energy for healing. 3. As you progress through the dungeon (around the central area), you'll see a message saying "With this healing power, I might be able to help the man." When this appears, return to Zephyrâs room. 4. Regardless of the method or choices, use dark energy on him and complete the mini-game. Youâll see the message "Thereâs nothing more I can do for this man." After that, he can be rescued during the 10th floor boss fight.

Wait how do you save him? During when the demon uses him as a human shield?

At the moment, the player characterâs corruption level doesnât have major gameplay effects, but itâs planned to play a larger role in the main quest line moving forward. Specifically, it will serve as a requirement for bolder or morally questionable actions during certain key events. For exampleâthough still in developmentâif your corruption is 50 or higher, your character may choose to enter the brainwashing chamber voluntarily on Floor 6. Eventually, Iâd like the main quest path to branch based on your corruption level, especially in the later parts of the gameâthatâs the long-term plan. As for Pierceâs resistance-related choices, theyâre actually more influenced by stats like Strength, Intellect, and Charm, rather than corruption.

Since corruption levels generally don't affect romance routes (with a few exceptions), does it simply act like a debuff? For example: - Locking key choices (e.g., grayed-out "resistance optionsâ when meeting Pierce) - Or unlocking hidden events? Could you clarify its exact mechanics? Thanks!
