Next project: Multi Phased map - Ocean Ruins (placeholder name?)

Want to do a quick dive into what I'm doing for the next release. As the title mentions it'll be a multi phased map.
The base concept right now is an ocean location where the party would start on the coast and have to activate 'X' on the pillar to the left.
This would start the first phase in which some cool looking structures would rise from the ocean allowing the party to move onto them and repeat this until all the structures have risen and then the last phase would reveal 'something'.
The sketch is very rough and mainly just to quickly show the overall idea, I haven't decided on what the structures are going to be or the overall layout and complexity just yet. However I do know that visually I want it to invoke the same coolness that my old 'Astral Dock' map does, which I've also attached for reference.
I really enjoyed the sort of graphic design element of it and want to do it again but even cooler hopefully.
I'm open to suggestions on interesting phases and/or structure types/uses if anyone has any.
Hopefully this sounds cool to y'all, phased maps are fun but a ton of work lol

Possibly! It's going to have that Astral theme to it so hopefully that is something that would fit into your campaign somehow.

In real life? I hope so, that would be amazing XD Thank you, I'm trying to get better at phased maps since they are fun to do, but also tricky to figure out.

This sounds epic! I happen to be working on a campaign that will have my party looking for a lost city, so this feels like it might connect to that concept nicely.

Sounds awesome. I wonder if we will see a few Ancient fantasy Civilization with fantasy like sci-fi tech like dungeons like this some day. Your multistep and dungeon maps are awesome. Or some sky island like multi layer Dungeon or something.

Thanks Julien! I post a lot of WIP stuff on my discord but not often on patreon since it feels a little spammy? But people didn't seem to mind this time so maybe... Love the Astral Dock map too, hoping I can make this map even cooler.

This is so nice! I love to see work-in-progress assets. π I can't wait to see the final result. The Astral Deck is one of my favorite maps and this new map would be perfect for a good dungeon. Good luck with all the work!
