Burn the World Down: Character Poll

Pick 1 or 2 characters to have significant screentime, wordcount, scenes and "scenes" :^) in the 2nd Arc. Unpicked characters will still have at least have a "scene" or two. So, there's no worry that they'll be completely missed out on.
Khan needs a character to balance out his intensity, but at the same time, having character bloat will only slow updates, complicate the storylines and prove to be an all-around bad writing decision. Having one girl is good, two girls is interesting, but all three is beyond my ability as a writer to deliver.
The Choices:
Second Wave 'Nessa'... was a originally intended to be a throwaway, expy character (Pokemon Sword & Shield). A dead one. But reception to what should have been only a passing mention was surprisingly positive and I have been convinced to keep her alive (though mostly in the background).
If chosen, she can be easily written back into the story in full, due to her fate having been ambiguous. Surprisingly high story potential too, what with her in-story history so far. Katara's not going to like seeing her by Khan's side. Lol.
Ty Lee/Ty Sisters... were the originally intended 'replacements' for the Kyoshi warriors to keep the cast fresh. Also, because she is a fan favourite. Having six of her acrobatic, flexible sisters around has a lot of 'potential.' I have my own take on Ty Lee's and her sisters' characters.
Choosing her with Nessa is going to be interesting to say the least. An old and favourite fan theory is that the Ty sisters have a bit of Air Nomad blood in them; add that with Nessa's pure Water Tribe... and that's almost three Elements in one team. Of course, this also means a good balance of personalities as well.
Suki & Kyoshi Warriors... can be brought back. The final mini-scene edited to end with their rescue if you'd prefer their style of interactions. They still have room to grow as characters, might even give one of them a name too. Lol. But even if left unpicked, they're not done with this story. So, you'll see them again, one way or another.
Choosing the Kyoshi Warriors with anyone else would end as you'd expect it would: Being given the title of 'Honorary Kyoshi Warrior' with everything that implies.

You know… the sheer unmitigated horny overload of ALL the Kyoshi Warriors AND the Ty Sisters would be hilarious Imo. Just a level of fun and crazy forcing Khan on side quests and adventures. Also, I want to get the Kyoshi girls back into the spotlight so you can actually flesh them out more than they were. Maybe give them some proper names because iirc you never named the other girls. Also Khan expanding his harem of ninja kung fu girls would also be even more hilarious.

In all honesty, I don’t think the Ty sisters would be a good addition to the team. I mean, didn’t Ty Lee join the circus just to escape them, to find her own sense of individuality? It should just be Ty Lee alone. Once Khan rescues them, I think the Kyoshi warriors ought to settle for a bit back in Yellow Palace and recuperate from their time in the Spirit World, maybe leave 5 of them there as the commanders of the garrison while Suki continues forward with Khan. Suki obviously has to come back. Not only is she the first of the companions…I think Khan genuinely loves her. Haven’t forgotten his anguished cry of “My Suki!”. She’s the “Borte Khatun” to his “Genghis Khan”, his first bride. Like Genghis, Khan has many lovers but also like Genghis was, he should be with his first love all his life. Not to mention, Borte was also taken from Genghis for a bit and he didn’t rest until he got her back. Who’s to say Khan shouldn’t do the same for Suki? Man, between Ty Lee and Nessa, it’s tough. Suki, Ty Lee and Nessa together with Khan would be amazing, but that’s hard to write. Hmm, let’s see what the voters will decide.

As much as I love the Kyoshi crowd, I'm kinda hoping spirit shenanigans roll them all into one person. Really take As One to the logical conclusion.

Ty Lee would be interesting, but having all the sisters around would feel too similar to Suki and the Kyoshi Warriors. We've seen a lot of the Kyoshi warriors over this story - given they were the personal bodyguards of Khan - so I'd prefer if some new faces got some time. Or like the other guy said, if only Suki was rescued, that may reduce some of the bloat a bit. Could also cause some drama, being torn between helping Suki save the rest of the warriors, or doing some other task (slaying the avatar, wan shi tong, ect.). It could also be interesting to have the system not be all knowing, the quests come about from Khans will, so him finding a body and the quest subsequently updating - Find and rescue {Suki & the Kyoshi Warriors} (0 / 6) -> (0 / 5) - Would be an interesting shock for him.

You can make it easier, take everyone, but make the ratio 1-1-1, Nessie, Tai Lee, and Suyuki. Nessie just has potential. If other Kioshi disappear, we will leave more space only for Suyuki or another girl. And I'm still in favor of adding Princess Yui, otherwise it turned out to be a character feature. And May is possible. If the Khan goes to the Kingdom of the Earth, you can drop by Omasha. Other Kyoshi Warriors can be sent to the City built by the Khan for treatment. And you can even replace Suyuki with another Kyoshi, more serious, to balance this whole group. Half Mei and half Suyuki.

This vote honestly could have been better worded. People voting are going to assume that the Kyoshi warriors are being written out of the story rather than benched until later. Truthfully, I'm for adding Nessa and Ty Lee, but not her sisters. As shown, Lee rather not be back to being a set. Nessa with some beef with Katara is a good Counterpoint/Nemesis with team Aang. There's also the hard option of "permanently" benching a few of the Kyoshi Warriors to be filled with Lee and Nessa as Suki's character grows with losing someone after what happened.

I’d prefer Ty and the Kyoshi warriors honestly. That whole dynamic has been great to read already and adding Ty Lee will just be perfect. My other suggestion would be to make it Ty Lee, Suki and Nessa only and have the rest of the e Kyoshi warriors doing something in the background to help “redeem” themselves after Kyoshi intervened in their mission or something

I have a somewhat greedy suggestion: 1) Can we get only Suki back while the others are still to be rescued? Suki was their face, anyway, and it would reduce the character bloat. Until they're rescued, the associated Perks would be at half-strength, maybe? 2) Similarly, only Ty Lee joins Khan because she doesn't want to be part of a set. (And the Kyoshi warriors have kind of proven that waifu sets can't be fleshed out properly as conveniently as a single one... unless they're like the Cuckoos from Marvel) 3) Although she's only an expy, Nessa probably has the most value. After the whole debacle she's been through, she'd probably act as the voice of reason in Khan's crazy entourage. Furthermore, adding healers to the 41st is a no-brainer, really. Might as well give them a personable and relatable leader.

NOOOO😭😭 that's why I hate democracies let the kyoshi warriors go to the background they are kinda annoying but I still love them , loved the conclusion more though seemed like there are consequences to pressing the avatar , not all the fem characters should be " honorary Kyoshi warriors" to bang 😭

Dont see an option for it but how about just Nessa and Ty lee? Let the Kiyoshi warriors have their side arc away from khan and focus on these new girls as you mentioned Khan is always going to get the Suki and the girls back. I also agree on the other comment the rest of the Ty sisters will ruin chances with Ty lee so maybe an omake with them or have the Kiyoshi warriors pick them up and Khan can be surprised by Sukis group being larger and her acting like it was always that big. Also its a funny image of him getting relationship and obediance boosts from the Ty sisters and not knowing why

Hell, could maybe do an anthology type chapter where you have multiple strung scenes of the Ty’s and Kyoshi Warriors, giving them more personality, bonding with the MC, and sex scenes

Honestly, while the Ty Lee scenes would be glorious, I feel bringing her sisters into his group would completely shut off any attempt to get closer to the acrobat. She left her home and family SPECIFICALLY because she didn't want to be another doll in the "matching set". However, a separate water bender that would absolutely feel betrayed by Katara, abandoning her tribe for a new leader who ISN'T a total fuck up? Far more organically feasible, and fits incredibly well with the drama and intrigue present in the later seasons of Airbender. For Suki and the Kyoshi warriors, you don't spend that much time with someone and NOT develop some kind of feelings, especially when a lot of that time is in such intimate moments.

While I enjoy the thing you do with only naming Suki and having the other warriors talking together, I dont think it would be cool to have two groups of characters with the same trait, if you decide to do the Ty sisters you should at least give them names.

I’d like the Kyoshi Warriors to be brought back but sent on missions more often, give them a bit of a break so we don’t get bored of them. Nessa and Katara would be fun, but Ty Lee is a must for reasons that should be obvious (she’s Ty Lee ffs) lol
