We own, yeah. Have considered a sump pump but rn we don't have the money (also don't know where to fit one). And yeah it's the basement. Coming in from under the walls, and some small puddles I believe from under the floor. We need our foundation sealed, but that's... not feesable. I'm thinking about installing french drains in the front yard this spring/summer to at least mitigate it. That's the most affordable option. Will just have to... learn how to install it so we don't have to pay for labor..

Oh man, that totally bites! :( I feel so sorry for ya! Don't worry about slow art though, you've got enough to deal with there.. Mind me asking, is this your basement (if you have one) that's flooding? And again mind me asking, is this a place you own or rent? Lastly, is it just rising water, like ground water seeping up through cracks in the floor or so; or is it coming in from a door/window/etc.? If it's your basement, in a place that you (or your family) own, you should definitely consider installing a sump pump. That's what we had to do at my parents' old house. My parents built their old house on family property, but the ground was very rocky, so in order to build a foundation with a basement, they had to raise the land around it first. But the basement level (ie. level with the driveway) was basically right on the ground water table, so the floor often got wet during a storm, and sometimes even an inch or two of water would form. My brother installed a sump pump in the outside stairwell to the basement, and ran pipes to dump the water away from the stairwell. We never even had a wet floor after that! Just hoping to help, and good luck, hope you can get it figured out!
