Guts and Glory 2 news, and a poll
🕑 Added 2021-12-26 12:45:26 +0000 UTCSo the rewrite still isn't finished. But now it's reaching a point where the story is starting to change more and more drastically. This gives me an opportunity that I did not have before, which is to get some feedback on the creation and development of characters as they find their way into the story.
But before that, here's what I am doing with the story itself.
I'm a little over half-finished with the rewrite. I've reviewed and rewritten chapters 2 through 19 so far, and am currently working on 20. It may be beneficial to re-read the story as great portions of it are written anew.
But I still have 16 chapters left to write before I'm caught up to where I was before.
So I ask the community. What should I do? Continue not releasing chapters until the rewrite is totally caught up to chapter 36, and release them all at once? Or should I release everything I have so far and resume releasing chapters on a monthly basis?
Regardless of what I do, I am going to release the entirety of the V2 chapters for all patrons to view. As many of you know, Guts and Glory 2 already underwent one huge rewrite that was 13 chapters long before I abandoned it.
Now with that business handled, the second order of things. Help me design some characters! I want input from the audience for character ideas and what they should look like, how they should act, etc. We'll start this process with Tempest for example, but you are welcome to pitch other ideas. I will have a second post up for just that.

I do want to keep the sense of danger with those characters, but I may use other protagonists to make the statement of those dangers (as in different people could get ate or nearly ate). I have yet to decide who, what, or why yet, as the circumstances of meeting them are changing in the new version.

I just recently re read 1-36 and i really liked what you did with your changes. I hope you keep the old version available especially if you undigest people again. I was really starting to feel the risk of the vault people and the the small Deathclaw camp. I hope you don't change it too much, at the same time, i will love to see what you do.

I'm voting to finish the rewrite completely first, because the story is still flowing and changing at this moment, and you may have to look back and make more adjustments for other characters. That'll be easier to do if you don't have to also go through and make any further rewrite announcements or edit previously posted entries or replace them. I know it can be hard to wait for fresh content, but you're a good writer and it will be a lot better overall when it's settled properly.
