Potential Future Interactive WH40K Parody Comic

I believe I will continue with adult interactive comics, we'll think on it as we got a few more pages to go with Circle of Lust - Taking the Initiative. Planning ahead, I've always wanted to do a war comic. I'm still thinking on that if you guys remember my power armor concept. Since I'm still fleshing out the details of the concepts, I thought about my favorite sci-fi setting, Warhammer 40,000, and I thought that might be a good start to try out a war scenario with a parody interactive comic and basically everything is fleshed out on that one. I'm unsure if or when I could start on this interactive comic next year, but it might be fun. It would also be black and white and not color. So, for the heck of it, vote on what kind of army we'll be interacting with. Also note, due to the complexity of a war scenario, each page will not involve a choice. Each choice will result in a series of pages that will be the result of a choice since a war does not fit in one page.A. Imperial Guard/Astra Militarum

Thanks for the story, grandpa. Though I admit it didn't seem that long ago I was hooked onto Warhammer 40k. Almost 16 years ago. But I think I understand what you mean. It's like comparing the old three Star Wars with the recent three Star Wars and now these new three. I was more impartial to the Imperial Fists and Salamanders for some reason, despite blue is my favorite color. I don't know, I might be rambling. We'll see how things go.

For me anything British back in the days was intimating to me. Judge Dredd seemed more of a bad ass than the Dark Knight. White Dawrf Magazine seemed more hardcore than Dragon Magazine, therefore Warhammer 40K and Warhammer Fantasy ala Realms of Chaos seem to get my adrenaline up more than Dungeons & Dragons. My point is for me personally I have a lot of emotional nostalgia for the early Games Workshop/Citadel Miniatures. In regards to Space Marines, I had just seem Aliens in the theater in 86, so when there was that 2-page advert in Dragon Magazine that said Space Marines, I was hooked. The ultramarine blue paint that you could only pull off with citadel paints, because Ral Partha's Midnight Blue just wasn't vibrant enough hit me soo hard visually, that I instantly associate the beakies with kick Ass! I think the early stuff, like a lot of things I like hit me at an age, when the people involved were my seniors, therefore I felt more Adult. The creators at GW, the gamers at the hobby shops were all adults. When the 90s hit and I was now the senior and the adult, seeing younger people into the hobby seemed to turn me off. The mystique was gone. The older brother gamer that I never had was gone. I'm rambling...As usual, but at the end of the day, much to my disadvantage sometimes, my window of influence is very limited. So, o with the edition you like the most. I can always take security and solace at fighting keeping the pages to stay in my 87 copy of Rogue Trader.

Ah, the Beakers or Beakies. Well, we'll see. I didn't think of them as very intimidating Space Marines. And god dang it I still can't paint them.

My suggestion would be to set in the 1987 rogue trader edition setting. The pointy nose marines and the 1sr edition Elder. That's when I started playing and painting minis.
