Yes, I know, if I wasn't writing these progress reports I could render a couple more images. But I think you need to be kept informed of what I am doing.
v.0.14 is huge.
I finished writing the penultimate scene yesterday. There are ~24,500 words written (that would mean it's the 3rd update by word count before writing the last scene). ~10,000 words in a week. Not bad.
On Monday I finished rendering the 7th and 8th scenes. Here is where the update is getting huge. The biggest update until now had 2,804 renders. This update, before tagging the renders for the last scene has 4,023 renders (3,587 already done). Yes. Over 4,000 renders in a "monthly" update. 781 renders were done in the last 7 days.
There is a lot of branching involved in this update, with some of the least popular paths getting some renders and words. Obviously, the most popular ones get the biggest share, but you won't see the 4,000 renders or read the 24,000 words in your playthrough.
I hope to announce the release date in the next Progress Report (if it's needed). I know I'm delayed with the update (32 days since the last update), but this time is because of the sheer size of the update.

Yes. I.e. there is a scene where you should choose between dancing alone and dancing with one specific girl. You can see one or the other (obviously, you can choose one, rollback, and then choose the other). There are also two different scenes at the start of the update (if you got caught by Simone): a.- You are on Simone's path b.- You are not on Simone's path (way shorter scene with different outcome)

You say not all will be seen in a playthrough does that count for a player/reader who has pursued every available option?

lol! I said that, more than faster, it would be bigger updates. This is the proof! 😂 Even with the fancier rig, there are some bottlenecks (writing, posing, coding, translating, and testing) that could not be accelerated too much. The only thing the rig improves is that, while I'm rendering a big queue, I can continue working on my old PC (I still use it for those bottlenecks. The new PC is exclusively for renders). If I publish, f.e., on December 7th, it would have been 41 days. The last time I published in 41 days there were 21,000 words and 2,804 renders.
