v.0.9 Progress report
🕑 Added 2023-01-09 18:46:20 +0000 UTCThe development of v.0.9 is going smoothly. It's going to be a short and huge update at the same time. Let me explain:
The update starts with our favorite nerds and their lessons. This implies that there are 8 possible scenes depending on the combination of routes between them:
* Daphne Romance + Scarlett joint lesson (Completed)
* Daphne Corruption + Scarlett joint lesson
* Daphne Romance + Scarlett separate lesson
* Daphne Corruption + Scarlett separate lesson
* Daphne Romance / No Scarlett
* Daphne Corruption / No Scarlett
* Scarlett / No Daphne
* No Scarlett / No Daphne (Completed)
As I don't like to work and you don't see the result, I thought that, independently of the route you are in, as long as you are in one of them, you will be able to see all the scenes you want through a menu.
After those scenes, there will be a short dialogue with Norah about her newly discovered exhibitionism and other topics, like the arrival of Meemaw in v.0.10.
And finally, the arrival of the students, where we will start to get to know them a little bit. First impressions are not always reliable.
With the students, I have decided to introduce a very basic and rather obvious point system. Why? Because the students do not know the MC, they have no previous feelings towards him and we have to win them over gradually based on our actions and dialogue choices.
As you can see the update comes loaded with content. Right now I have more than 500 renders and more than 10,000 words, all the post-lesson scenes (Norah and students) are done and I still have to complete the variants.
When will the update be ready? I hope in 10-12 days approximately, but I'm struggling a bit to write varied and entertaining scenes for the lessons, so I'm having a bit of writer's block.
As it is becoming so big, I have decided as on other occasions to publish it in two parts v.0.9A with the content that I have told you for Friday morning, and v.0.9B for Friday afternoon and evening. Remember that you have a date with Maddie on Friday night with her three possible routes.

More than viewing alternates to the romance paths, I see it as a 'What if?'. Imagine you are in the Daphne(Romance) + Scarlett joint path and want to see what would happen in their solo (Romance) paths. Without that menu, I felt like I was punishing the players if I didn't give the option to view Daphne Romance Solo Path, f.e. The same will happen with Maddie and her three paths (Rom, FDom, MDom). Remember the Christmas greeting is from sometime in the future? Take that menu as Daphne, Scarlett, and the MC talking and saying "What would have happened if things went differently?"

I really like the idea of allowing players to view the alternate scenes via a menu. I almost always follow the love/romance paths in AVN's but am always interested in how certain scenes playout in other routes.
