Incredible. Suspense with imagery only. We view then return finding subtle variety of endings. I'm so enraptured by these self-enclosed series. One can view image by image in slow motion over the course of a day and experience so many nuances. I'm hooked.

Yes, that's right. Ruthven refers to one of the first vampires in English literature, and like Count Dracul (the father of Vlad or son of Dracul, hence Dracula) he belonged to the Order of the Dragon.

And if you zoom in on the Lord's tomb, you'll read that the Lord is the last descendant of 'The House of Usher." Great attention to the little details!

If you looked carefully, as the old Lord is about to descend to the tomb, you'll see John's portrait by the door; indicating that John is the next Lord of the Manor.

Hi Pierre, Sorry about that, but yes, the whole cycle starts all over again. So, it turns out that John did not die that fateful night, but has become the successor of the estate. He is recruiting a new butler, just like he was many decades before, for the old butler (who turns out to be the lord) finally goes to rest; is Legacy is now in good hands. The faithful dog guards his tomb.

Well, I guess the dog stays the loyal companion and guide to our hero, so that's good. Time will tell what happens next, and plenty of clocks in the settings, so time is important in the next step. Another clue is the small red notebook.... For why would the old man take all those notes... ;o)

Sad? The only "sad" ending in my opinion would be if the handsome, loyal dog dies. But it appears he fades off into an exciting "after life" with John... so that's okay. LOL Now I'm totally with Pierre Cameron and Christopher MacKenzie... I'm imagining (hoping) John becomes the new Lord of Gatewell Castle... and all that goes with it... including the really hot staff. The vampire orgy suggested by Christopher would be REALLY hot! LOL I'm having fun reviewing this story "frame-by-frame" and fantasizing about how they all fit together. But of course we won't really know... or even be able to draw our own conclusions about the story until next week. THANKS again for sharing this, and all your amazing work with us!

Not very suitable for the current project with its posh environment, but I’ll certainly that in mind. Not sure about the tattoos however, but I’ll try to overcome my aversion for those things ;o)

Hi Priapus, I love your work and am really enjoying subscribing to your site. The degree of artistry is so excellent and such a pleasure to take in. You really are a master craftsman. I do have a request, however. The trend in gay erotica, in general, but also in your work, seems to lean towards smooth and hairless bodies and handsomely refined men. Which is great. But I wonder if you could do more work embracing the hairy and scruffy and blue collar and definitely unrefined. The guys would have veined, uncut cocks and low hanging balls that are hairy and deeply wrinkled. Maybe throw in some tattoos as well. Maybe the guys aren't classically handsome but they have strong, masculine faces. Wow... really nice set up! Love the setting, the excellent images, and the flow of the storyline so far. Glad the young lawyer remembered to pack appropriately for dinner. Lots of "staff" who look like potential bed partners... starting with the porter at the train station who gazed longingly after his departing coach and waved.
