I'm sure the knight will return one day with some alternative fables for the novice, for there's still so much more to explore in the mysterious medieval world. Harry has indeed been a long time from home, but he has arrived on another planet and that means a whole new range of possibilities, including dressing up dashingly for historical events ;o)

As a medievalist I took particular delight in your recreation of a medieval world in the tale of the novice, though I confess I kept wondering whether the knight were going to show up again and offer the novice unexpected alternatives. (This is often the case in medieval fables.) Harry has been deep in space for some time now, possibly so deep that heβll never be returning to planet Earth. For a while, before embarking, he did feature handsomely in a number of historical episodes, often caught up in chains. If he does return to Earth, possibly he might find his way again into another historical tale? No need for all those chains but a dashing uniform of some sort which he puts aside at the perfect narrative moment would be welcome.
