The main idea for the series is a group of guys gathering at their mancave, where they embrace their passion for old cars, but where they also (start to) share more in a friendship with benefits.
I’m still working on the characters and just started with the main set for the series, but these images will give you a first impression of what I have in mind for the series.
The Men
The friends that meet regularly at the garage, are the everyday, clean-cut, all-American straight type of guys. They're easy-going, fun-loving and open-minded; but willing to push the boundaries of their friendship and open to exploring new frontiers of their relationship.
I’m still working on the characters, trying to give them more character and personality, and adjusting the wardrobe, making them fit the setting.
The Cave
The mancave is a treasure trove of nostalgia and practicality, where the scent of engine oil and grease mingles with the sound of oldies playing on the stereo, and the walls are adorned with vintage car memorabilia, tool racks, and a few trophies from the racing days.
These render tests give a first impression of the garage I'm working on for the project. It's basically the interior of an old building filled to the top with all sorts of stuff one might find in a workshop. The settings of previous projects were very helpful in compiling this scene so that you may recognize some objects from earlier series. Perhaps I should organize a quiz for this, to see who can identify most of them ;o)

Thanks, Roland! Much appreciated, I'll keep that in mind for another time. I've already collected most of the props for this series and It's hard to shake off the 50s vibe at this stage. I'll do my best to fit the guys with these as well! :o)

I have a suggestion, if I may? Instead of a 1950s look, how about a 1960s muscle car vibe, with iconic cars such as a '66 Pontiac GTO, a '67 Ford Mustang GT500 Eleanor, a '70 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda or a '69 Chevrolet Camaro SS? You could toss in a '32 Ford Model A Roadster for context. Just a thought, but muscle cars and muscular young men feels like a good fit to me.
