It seems this debacle got spicier than the average debate between a Greek and a Turk. https://youtu.be/HfFx5UvzSxc?si=YxQtYeWcj3NDxVlX

Thank you so much! I’m really glad you’re enjoying the blend of history and fiction—it’s a tricky balance, but comments like this make all the research sessions worth it. Keeping the characters grounded and their motivations believable is important to me, so it’s great to hear that it’s coming through. Thanks again for the kind words!

I would love if Constantine shouted before the battle an "YOU SHALL NOT PASS"

The best thing about this story is how the author clearly has done a substantial amount of research. It mixes fantasy with real history in a compelling and reasonably plausible way. All of the characters have realistic and understandable motivations. Well done and well written!

Just a quick side note— the Albanian revolt did happen in the original timeline as well. It’s one of those fascinating historical moments that fit seamlessly into the story without needing much tweaking.

I have a rendezvous with Death At some disputed barricade, When Spring comes back with rustling shade And apple-blossoms fill the air— I have a rendezvous with Death When Spring brings back blue days and fair. It may be he shall take my hand And lead me into his dark land And close my eyes and quench my breath— It may be I shall pass him still. I have a rendezvous with Death On some scarred slope of battered hill, When Spring comes round again this year And the first meadow-flowers appear. God knows ’twere better to be deep Pillowed in silk and scented down, Where love throbs out in blissful sleep, Pulse nigh to pulse, and breath to breath, Where hushed awakenings are dear... But I’ve a rendezvous with Death At midnight in some flaming town, When Spring trips north again this year, And I to my pledged word am true, I shall not fail that rendezvous
