I prefer smaller, more frequent updates, personally. I find that projects that do so are more focused, as the content producer is more likely to have more planning (to meet each release), and breaks down the game into smaller, more manageable development goals. But please do not take this as a strong endorsement of one over the other; Ultimately, you know what works the best for you.

I follow the Visual Novel scene, where games are translated from Japanese to English. I wait mouths for updates on some of the projects I follow, and after awhile you get a complete product or big chunks of content, making it well worth the wait. I personally like seeing huge updates, even if I have to wait a while, but communication is important as well of course, keep us updated.

I prefer less updates with more contents but with regular communication from the creator (you). BTW loved the game.
