🕑 Added 2018-02-13 09:55:54 +0000 UTC Time for another art update!A couple of annoying things have been keeping me from really getting into the fray of it, but oddly enough I've still managed to make good headway for the next build when it comes to new scenes. Well I better because I can't finish things late into the month and still expect the coder/writer to work them in.
I already sent a couple of new scenes to him covering four different girls and I need to do some more. There's no telling what can be put in because some things take a backseat when the story calls for it which I naturally leave up to the person actually putting all of it together! I'm generally pretty surprised of what he manages to do in the short timeframe he has.
The annoying things I mentioned earlier consist out of me not been feeling entirely energetic this last week. A relative came over for a visit, and well... I pick up whatever you bring me. Including new strains of virusses(virii?). She told me she hadn't gone to work that day because she was feeling sick..... Seriously, if you know you're sick why don't you stay home and not spread it around? Whatever she had got a hold of me and I've been feeling like an old battery, not able to hold a charge for longer than half a day. All in all it could be a lot worse, but I've been doing a lot more sleeping because of it. Luckily I'm already starting to feel better again.
The other thing is one of my shoulders feels like I've strained a couple of muscles in it. Strangely enough I can't remember doing anything which would've caused it. The first day it was just a small hindrance but now it's forcing me to take it veeery easy. I've been using my good arm to move the other one around, like now for example to type this. But trying to move it on it's own above my waste is... not fun. I expect it to heal up pretty fast, but that won't happen unless I give it the required rest so right now I'm stuck doing very little for at least the next couple of days. Which really sucks. Luckily I already managed to finish up enough art for the coder to work with before this popped up.
One of the scenes I've finished is taking place in the currently still blocked part of the maze. You might have noticed the places where you can't go in the tunnels below lake Laogai have been steadily declining. There's one place left where you can't progress yet and I'm looking forward to show you guys that next part. Of course there'll be a girl there to free/abuse. I don't think I'm giving away too much when saying that, as it's pretty much what you've been doing so far! It will have it's own special circumstances though which we hope you guys will be pleasantly surprised with.
Speaking of the maze, when the coder first mentioned that idea(which feels like a loooong time ago) it was meant to be from first person view where the player's orientation was constantly changing. We experimented a bit with that, but it turned out to be extremely confusing. The girls you fight in the tunnels are a remnant of that earlier idea. That's why you look at at them from the front instead of the side like we did in book 1 and 2.
I've been working on other stuff for that part in the tunnels (which I think worked out pretty nicely), but also small things for when this route ends. Just to be clear that's not going to be the next build. I know some of you guys are a lot more interested in the love route and would love for this route to end, but we're not there yet folks! You know we always do our best to keep things going at a good pace, but we're still only human :) and crap at estimations, so please don't ask since we're most likely wrong and would disappoint a lot of people in the proces.
Besides redoing some things for a scene raffle winner's scene I've also been working on a scene with Toph where you can turn her into a woman(woohoo!) I'm pretty much constantly redrawing this, hemming and hawing about it so who knows when I can finish it. Nothing new there ;)
Scenes are always a struggle of what I can do to make it interesting, making it not too complicated to put in for the coder and also not too big size wise. Of course there's also the factor of making sure one scene won't take me an entire month to draw. I'm not a fast drawer, so I have to be practical about these things. I've been sorting the image files in such a way they stay small in size because putting four books in one game has the potential to blow up in size if you're not careful.
I think we could've made things a lot (and I mean A LOT) easier for ourselves if we'd release all of the books as their own standalone game, but I'm not sure savegame data would've been easily transferable if we'd done that. It might be possible, but I never really looked into that.
That's it for now. Currently my main priority is making sure the muscles in my shoulder get the rest they need and when that's done I can get back at drawing perverted stuff full force once more!

I have to admit I enjoyed this game, wish there was more with Azulas manipulation of you because it is refreshing to see that in these type games. Not complaining though, keep up the good work and looking forward to the next release.

Like Kira already said we'll look into updating the android version as soon as we finish this route. We'll have to change a couple of things which work on the pc version but don't on android so that might still cause problems but I guess we'll cross that bridge when we get there. They might update when a route is complete. But with the current crab arena would need to add additional controls to the screen so some parts might not work.

That sounds like a pretty good way of trying to get the best of both worlds(Pink Tea's method). Honestly, the coder is the one who's sometimes really "suffering" with the inbetween testing build times for every little thing he changes. But like you said, there's definitely downsides to it.

Another creator I follow (Pink Tea) has similar complaints about the pain of assembling the game. He has a strategy where he releases chapters to beta testers as standalone games with an "assumed" save state. It's not really the same as actually playing the game (and his games have a lot fewer RPG elements than yours), but for people that just want to check out the new content it's generally fine. Once a chapter is complete he stitches it onto the game and ships it as a new "real" release. Personally, I prefer the full releases, but that isn't a gameplay thing, but rather more because I follow a lot of games, nobody uses the same naming system (when creators even bother to put proper version information in their file names), and it's a pain in the butt to keep track of a lot of mini-releases. So one minor downside is that if you do mini-releases some people will probably be less likely to beta- test them since they'd rather wait for the assembled game.

If it's just a strained muscle(which I'm pretty much convinced it is) it should heal up quickly enough with some rest, but yeah I'll keep a close eye on it.

There's a game being developed here on Patreon called "Daughter for Dessert" perhaps you've heard of it? Anyway it's a 3D model H game, but how the guy does it is exactly how you described: Each book is it's own game. How he gets around the savedata transfer is by making it so you can't even start the other books unless you've got save data from the first book. You download the savedata directly from the first game and import it into the next game. It's interesting, and I don't quite know exactly what's going on, but yeah. You can find it at /palmer I believe his first 2 games are currently free.
