When he takes Constantinople, he should set up something similar to the Prussian Staff College to ensure he always has a staff of professional officers.

John Nguyen

Do you suppose he will establish a sort of "hearth guard" for his empire? (For context, hearth guard in my head is a women or young boys militia that is trained up to the standard of the regular Tagmata) As for why women, because all the men and boys will be with Constantine in battles, leaving women to mind, and if necessary fight and die for the empire at home

I am interested what other reforms will Constantine deliver later: We already seen his reforms in army with muskets ,cannons and formation war We see reforms in education/arts through printing press and his lyceum Then i am interested what social and goverment reforms he will introduce later. He is still man of modern time , so i imagine that he would create something like House of Lords and House of Common to draw laws , but keeps his imperial power to decide what to pass. WIth society i expect at least for him to allow woman to study and hereditary rights, where even first born daughter can inherit the title and power , and not just be wed. I am really exited what will you bring us.

Tocco’s position is a tricky one. The marriage tie through his sister is gone with her death, but it still leaves a shadow of connection, even if weaker now. At the same time, he was never in step with the Ottomans, so outright siding with them would be awkward.

John Nguyen

How does Tocco feel about Constantine and his successes? Could he be jealous/threatened enough by Constantine's successes to risk a war with Byzantium, especially if Venice and/or the Turks provide him with a war chess for mercenaries?
