Just a boring text update!
🕑 Added 2022-01-23 23:36:06 +0000 UTCHey all! It's about time I let you know where I'm at with the build I'm working on. It's going... okay(ish). I'm enjoying the process of putting it together and it's really fun, but I'm not nearly progressing as fast as I was hoping/expecting. That's especially true because I decided to do some things slightly different from what I had planned earlier. Me changing things along the way certainly isn't new.
Remember me talking about changing the flow of the current route from A, B, C to A, C, B in an older update? At the time I was talking about switching up the places you'd visit. The original idea was to have the player go directly to airtemple island after the swamp part and visit Zaofu afterwards. It's a bit like that, but less involved.
As you work on a build you'll often find better or more interesting ways of doing things. I'm not certain what that's going to do for the time it'll take to finish a new build, but it certainly won't make it sooner.
I haven't given you an estimation of when I think I can have something finished, but at best I might have a bughunt finished within January. If I do manage that(and that's a big if) it'll most likely be with very little time to spare and the early access version is pretty much certain to find its way into February. I've often been advised not to put out shaky estimations(which is great advice) but I want to at least give you some sort of idea of what's going on.
I'm still going to pretend it's possible to keep it all within January and work with that as the goal in the back of my mind. That's also the reason why I don't have anything interesting to add to this update like an image! I wanna spend all the time/creative juices on things for the next build!
I would have some other interesting news, but that's still up in the air as to how that'll turn out(might be a dud) so I'm keeping that under wraps. Mysterious!!!
Sorry for this update being pretty boring. I hope to make up for that with the build!

Thanks Sion, I can see the logic of what you say, but my mind is usually providing me with a lot of "buts". Just wish I could make shadow clones of myself.

As a consumer of post such as these I immediately agree! As some writing them I don't want to waste people's time unless I feel I got something really interesting to show or say.
Would be fun to do the bughunts if I played more often, I am a 4-6 hours on weekend gamer though. I am super busy except for Sundays, pray and play

Imo it doesnt need an extra pic evertime. Just hearing from you is good enough so I know whats going on. The extra pics are nice, but in the end its about the update itself. We are getting artistic stuff with the builds. Thats good enough.

See you think this is a boring update but you forget. The fans are stoked to see and hear about your content. Even if it's a small detail it keeps people in the loop enough for them to be jazzed knowing not only are you still working on the game but you are closer even if not near the next update. That's an exciting time for everyone.

It's a cowabunga of an update, I was would've been okay with a March release date. As far as going off your own beaten path, I've always found spur of the moment ideas and changes to be opportunities to pounce on, as they're usually a blurb of genius!

I’ll be honest, I wasn’t banking on a January release. Especially as we get close to the end of the build, things take longer. I assume this is the end of the love route, right? Many will agree that it’s better to take more time, and get a better product at the end of the day. No worries there.
Love the game so far, I think I speak for everyone when I say I'm excited for a new version to come out, but I'm glad you're putting the time in to make it as great as possible
