Ah, that's just an indication there's a repeating animation taking place, We've been using it inconsistently though so I can see how it would be unclear.

If this has been answered earlier, I apologize but it's bugging me. There are some scenes where a blinking carat in a circle appears in the bottom left corner of the graphic. It doesn't seem to do anything, but ...? I'm looking for (specific) enlightenment. ;)

Maybe one day Mity will do an "ancient knowledge" dlc where Lin joins the unspeakable acts in the hot springs at the south pole. And it won't be only a black screen. :D Although nothing can be as perverted as your own imagination. Not even Marty's art.

I get that maybe she could come back for the slave route final act if that wouldn't inhibit the story to much?

Not gonna argue with that last part, but I'm not certain we'll be able to. If we do it will most likely be in a very limited way. It's very tempting to just do whatever scene we'd like with whatever character we want, but it still has to sort of fit and not make it feel like the route just keeps dragging on.

Is it possible to possibly get some scenes with Lin Beifong in the love route? I know we get some in the slave route but i think it be nice to do more naughty things with her

Pretty much what OmegaPVC already said. Ikki's stuff is difficult to unlock and starts relatively early on in the game. The choice when carrying Korra to the cave during the snowstorm is the first step. Afterwards you'll have to do/see some other things during the swamp which opens up her "route" further. If you have some follow up questions, feel free to send me a pm.
You need to be ambiguous when you're carrying Korra in the Tundra outside of the water tribe in the first area.

Did I miss the Ikki scenes? Played through the last built without being able to have any interaction with her besides the 2 options "General" and "Kuvira" when she is in the tower
