What a week...
🕑 Added 2024-07-21 22:55:39 +0000 UTCI generally come up with things to mention or talk about in updates like these throughout the weeks... and forget about all of it once it's time to actually write it down. I'm chaos thinly veiled as a human being when it comes to taking notes and remembering stuff!
I spend a lot of my time nowadays someplace where the internet connection is such that I have to reconnect almost every minute at times and have to go without any for hours when really unlucky... but it's also nice and cool there which is something I can always appreciate during this time of the year. All of you Southern hemisphere people are probably thinking "What the hell is he talking about?"

When it comes to worldly news, this last week has been really eventful... to put it mildly. It felt like not a day could go by without some big bad news item screaming at you from all angles. A little less of that would be nice for the rest of this month(or year)!
Speaking of this month, I'm happy it's one of those with 31 days. Gives me a chance to get on schedule again. I'm currently working on a new 18titans build. It was a difficult start, not just because switching between projects is always a matter of remembering what the hell I was doing, but also because at first I was having big problems getting the first scene to look at least half decent. Throwing away a scene and starting all over is usually a sure fire way for me to become entirely stuck so I usually just try and brute force my way through it which I did.
And that was supposed to be the easy scene. I also still had a scene which I figured was going to be difficult (Robin and two girls), but despite my fears that one was done relatively quickly and I'm happy with the way it looks! Lucky! So despite some small/normal setbacks it's going relatively smoothly so far(knock on wood).
Not so smooth was me dropping and breaking my stylus pen. Of course that happened because I was trying to carry too much at once. I needed a nail clipper to dislodge the old plastic worn down tip and decided I could also carry some dirty dishes/clothes and a few other things at the same time. The pen neatly broke into two and I was going like "...F***ckkk".
I do have a spare (which I got after breaking another pen in the past while using pasta as a nib... it's a long story), but that one's tip is "sticky" and won't always properly disconnect once I lift the pen from the tablet, resulting in a thin trailing "ghost line". Those are very annoying and slow me down. Luckily some glue and patience managed to fix my broken pen and I only had to work for a short while using my spare pen.
Oh, some very nice off-topic news, the movie "the gamers: dorkness rising" is going to get a proper sequel. I must have watched that movie so often it would make you doubt my sanity if I'd give you a number. In fact at one point I even tried to find several locations of where it was shot etc through google maps and such. the writer got the funding for it now and the old cast will reprise their roles. It will still be a very long time before it will be shot/released, but that news certainly made my day when I heard of it.
Other than that I don't really have anything else to mention (which is the reason why it has been taking me so long to put even this small one together) so I'll just leave you again for now and hope to see you relatively soon for with the Titans release.

I have more than one spare now, but even if that fails I have an extra stylus including pen... though I've really become attached to the one I'm using right now and and I'd be plenty sad if I had to switch !

Old wacom pen nibs can be replaced with spaghetti... https://petapixel.com/2017/04/11/cant-afford-new-wacom-stylus-nib-can-use-spaghetti-pinch/ I did it for a while when I was out of nibs and the news ones hadn't arrived. I ended up liking the feel of the friction buuuut when you drop the pen and the pasta breaks. there's no way to remove the little remainder inside. Doing so anyway has a good chance of killing the pen. So that's the story about how I killed my first pen. I stopped using the pasta method afterwards. I drop shit way to often to chance it!

for some reason the girl double dipping another makes me think of Starfire and i do hope that the thing that happens when Blackfire resistance goes to 0 is that she might become some kinda toy for Starfire as a gift from Robin

Lmao, I remember the pasta nib stylus arc. Happy to hear that you since learned and had a spare, but little less that the spare doesn't work well.
