as well as being late with an update for May's diary too!
Part of this is going to be quite redundant with what I've already said last time,
but please let me inform you of my plans for the future once again!
Also, I'm awfully sorry for making you read only about all this business stuff,
so I've prepared just a bit of rough illustrations of monster girls that will be featured in the game
for supporters at the end.
■Concerning the Process for the Future Release of “Monster Girl Encyclopedia RPG”
At the end of last year, we released a trial version, and we are earnestly focused on
developing the continuation at present! Since it is expected that development will
drag on for a considerable length of time until completion, from now on, I plan on
releasing incremental updates, a “Chapter 1”, “Chapter 2”, “Chapter 3” sort of thing,
exclusively for supporters whenever development progresses up to a good place to leave off.
(Please be aware that it will be divided into much smaller parts than just beginning / middle / end.)
The reason for this is that I want to gradually expand the world and implement as many monster girls as possible by pursuing ongoing development over as long a period as possible.
My consideration is as follows:
For one thing, I want to handle all the races that I myself have featured in MGE thus far as well as all the races who will be debuting after this dearly and with great care,
and besides, for all you folks who already have your heart set on a certain race, I want to avoid the situation where you feel like “I'm sad that my favorite girl isn't in it” as much as possible.
What's more, after looking back on the development situation, it is possible that the release format may change in such a way that instead of releasing chapter by chapter, I'll release much more frequent version updates that expand the game little by little whenever additional maps and 1 or 2 new monster girls are done, so I would appreciate your understanding.
Anyhow, if I were to wait until the completed version is ready for the next release,
everyone would end up having to wait years, which would suck,
so I'll do what I must to avoid that sort of thing. I am determined to release the next version this year whether or not development is making good progress.
■About My Current Staff and How Support Funds Are Being Used
At present, there are three main members of the team. The two main staffers other than myself
are each respectively responsible for work such as that listed below.
・Making walking graphics, making tile graphics, putting together maps
・Development of functionality which requires RGSS3(programming), a feature of RPG Maker VX Ace
All the rest including:
・Standing pictures and H scene illustrations of the monster girls
・Item graphics, food graphics
・The monster girls' H scene dialogue, all scenario related and minor text
・In-game UI graphics (the design of windows, gauges, etc.)
・Implementation of the sex battle system using RPGMaker's event commands, events that occur on the maps
・Other various minor things
is currently being done by me, so that's why development is taking so long and I can't give an accurate estimate of the schedule. I would appreciate your understanding.
Regarding the support funds I am currently receiving, first of all, please let me express my gratitude.
Thank you all very much! Thanks to the warm support I humbly receive from everyone,
we are somehow able to continue development without drying up!
I am allocating the support funds received to compensate the main staff
and to purchase paid assets needed for development, equipment needed for drawing, and so on.
Also, I have concluded that I may be able to entrust part of the vast amount of text to a person who wrote derivative MGE short stories for me, and I plan to use it to compensate him as well.
It would be great if I could hire more staffers to lessen the burden of all the above mentioned other work that I handle personally too, but it is not currently financially feasible to hire new staff...
The discussion up to this point was pertaining to how I use the funds I receive from Japanese support sites. Concerning the funds I receive from all of you on Patreon, currently 10 percent goes to staff compensation, while the other 90 percent is being saved up to pay for the English translation.
I have requested English translation from a translator, and the rate I'm getting is a bit less than 3 yen per character (JPY). For a single monster girl race, there are about 120~130 thousand characters,
but after the omission of redundant sentences, it comes out to about 100 thousand characters. So, using Imp as an example, it was 260,000 yen just for her, which converts to about 2,387.58 USD that was needed. For the trial version, in addition to Werecat, which cost about the same amount, there was also various other text including the tutorial with the White Succubus, the main scenario, and sub quests,
which required translation fees as well.
Thankfully, there was an explosive increase in supporters when I released the trial version at the end of last year, and I have received lots of support funds too, but the support funds I had received up to that point mostly went to translation fees.
As expected, the reality is that in the present situation, there is no money to pay for a staff increase,
so I'm repeating myself here, but I would appreciate it if you could be understanding that development will take time and I cannot give an accurate estimate of the schedule.
I think all my supporters are of course interested in the story mid-production, the new graphics for the monster girls, and what not, but my concern is that if I reveal too much, it will diminish your enjoyment when you actually play the game...!
This time, I'd like to introduce you to the "werewolf"!
A werewolf who is a little bit fierce and a little bit dim-witted, he attacks you, the delicious male, to fuck and mate with you!
Will you be treated as a male that all the females in the harem can fuck at will?
Or will you be the head of the harem and be able to mate with them as you please?
I drew the first werewolf like this a long time ago, so the image has changed quite a bit in terms of expression and flesh, but
It's like I tried to express what I couldn't express because I didn't have enough drawing skills back then, and it became what it is now!
As for the rough draft for supporters, it's in the next post!

It would be great to have a child with Monster Girl's wife. It's very difficult because there are so many Monster Girls, but I'll consider it after the game is finished. Monster Girlのお嫁さんとの子供が生まれると嬉しいですよね。 Monster Girl の数が多いのでとても難しいですが、そういった事もゲームが完成した後に検討したいと思います。

What I want to make is a full-length game. If it's too difficult financially, I may make a short game as I said before. 作りたいものが長編ゲームなんですよね。 もし金銭的に難しそうなら以前も言っていましたが短編ゲームを作る事もあるかもしれません。

I just wanna say after seeing your work and immediately being absolutely floored by it, I bought the English translated versions of both volume 1 and 2 of MGE. When I heard you were making a game I was so excited. Take as long as you need, KC. YOU CAN'T RUSH PERFECTION. Your monster girls are LEGENDARY. So don't be afraid to nitpick every single detail until you're sure we're gonna be blown away by the first release. Eagerly and patiently awaiting the first release!
