Like already reported all shipped units still have my early firmware installed which was optimised for the preproduction samples. Since then I had to do 2 revisions and optimise my settings towards the final production units which I got later.

To update the speaker you need to insert the USB cable in power off state while keeping the Bluetooth button pressed. It should make the speaker accessible within the app and you can load the new firmware and update it which should take some seconds. You need a USB-data cable, the included one doesn’t work.
Please let me know how everything works. In case needed I will also provide the original firmware which should already be installed on your device when I am back home as I don’t have it with me. I can also provide an in-between firmware which gave me great results with the 3rd sample I got but sounded off with the later 2 samples. Unfortunately I cannot do anything about the sample variation. I just hope all final units sound similar to my last 2 samples I got.

UPDATE: I finally managed to update. For anyone who has the same problems like me try to reset the speaker through the reset button. But don´t switch it on again! When I followed the update routine as described it all went very well.

I received my U BOOM L yesterday and tried to update the software according to the guide. But the Multimedia Product Tool does not recognize the speaker when I plug it in (in Off mode) and press the Bluetooth button constantly. I tried it on two different computers (Windows 10), 2 different USB-C data cables, reset the speaker. Nothing happens. Any clue?
