Nubert X3000 to Neumann KH80 transformer EQ
🕑 Added 2023-04-26 22:15:16 +0000 UTCSorry about that, but yeah the X3000 are way too bright in reality especially at nearfield. I was quite shocked when I tried the KH80 today which are way darker, therefore I will definitely need to readjust my target and get a way more precise approximation.
I did some very quick measurements of both speakers outside and created a simple correction filter-set based on these measurements, X3000 in blue, KH80 in red:
If you apply these on top of my recent EQs, you should get a better resemblance of "neutral" than what I achieved with the X3000 until now. Keep in mind this is just a rough approximation based on the delta between both speakers above 1khz, thus I tried to correct for the errors in frequency response of the X3000 in regard to the KH80 which as you can see from the measurement is not flat either above 3khz.
Here the resulting new response of the HD58X compared to before, which should also sound more "normal" and closer to neutral:
But I will need to do some more precise measurements next time to equalize the KH80 as good as possible to flat at my listening position and then do all my listening again based on this new setup. I am glad to have the next week full of time to able to concentrate on this. I will try several placements and different rooms to check were I will get the cleanest response above 1khz. I don't care that much below 1khz, as this should remain mostly flat anyhow. But I will try to get a more exact representation of neutral this time, which should be easier to judge with a graph as flat as possible, because there are definitely some deviations below 1khz as well what the ear perceives compared to a measuring microphone.
This is the only I can offer as for until I have better data to work with, so stay tuned!

Maybe you could try to use sonarworks for the spearker calibration. I know that the headphone profiles suck, but probably because their target is trash. From my experience their room calibration for studio monitors is quite decent since it only targets a flat speaker response

when I directly import the txt into peace, it mess up the EQ. To import it, you can copy all those filters in txt to V4.1 txt then reimport it, I notice the V4.1 with these extra filters look very alike to V0, which should sound pretty decent to you since you like V0 the most, or maybe this version would be your new most-favourite version.

I think you can directly add those filters with EQ APO, with peace you can add those filters manually one by one, or you can add all those filters into v4.1 txt, then reimport again
Wasn't quite sure what you meant by "apply these on top of my recent EQs", I imported the file over 4.1x and hit "add to current", is that correct? https://i.imgur.com/kNMJIKG.png Edit: No I think I did it wrong, the Qs are way off, so the graph window in Peace is completely flat until 1Khz.
