🕑 Added 2023-04-27 09:04:39 +0000 UTCI ordered a new UMIK measuring microphone as mine could have become less precise over time. I got suspicious seeing the measurement of the KH80 which is claimed to be dead flat above 1khz, but I definitely see a bump towards treble:
I want my results to be as precise as possible. Choosing the Nubert X3000 as "neutral" reference was obvioiusly not the greatest idea, but at least you have a tuning for the HD600 and HD58X which resembles the sound of the X3000 quite well, I managed to copy the Nubert house-sound and bring it onto headphones so to say.
I will start my work next week, I need some rest now to let my ears recover and then will need to restart my matching procedure from scratch which will also mean that my binaural compensation will need some rework. If the headphone sound is too bright, this means that the recording itself should become brighter to still ensure the same final result.
I was quite happy actually that my binaural compensation looked pretty plausible so far, but I will need more tilt towards treble obviously. In black the reference spectrum from the X3000, in blue the binaural recording and orange compensated:
With this combination of headphone EQ and compensation I got very realistic results, but this will obviously need even more treble boost.

The V4X + kh80 filter sounds the best to me. It's very close to perfect, I hear no harshness or uneven treble. It's very natural with just the right amount of smoothness. Before the kh80 filter I felt the vocals get muffled when lowering volume and this stops being the case with it applied. This eq has done more for fidelity than any headphone purchase and I recommend it every chance I get, even my friend who hates the hd600 agrees it sounds good with the eq enabled.

I am currently using v4.2(KH80 verison), I noticed the EQ looked very similar to V0, with slightly 1-2db more at 2-3k hz region, but after 12.8k hz they are completely different. Previously when I try to tune v1,v2,v3,v4 with pink noise they all end up very alike to V0, The previous EQs boosted 3-7khz is slightly too much, and also the 8k hz peak is very very noticeable that I have to reduce the filter like 4-5 db, even though they give me a overall better result for the airness and stereo feeling, I have to listen to very low volume to avoid my ears getting hurt. Right now the v4.1 version with KH80 filter, I can listen to it with decent volume, it doesn't sound sharp anymore, but I felt like it is kinda grainy someway(in most part of frequncey they are better than stock, but somewhere I can't exactly tell felt grainy), maybe the frequency response is not yet balanced. I am very looking forward to the later kh80 version detailed tuning
