I love my country, but this is perhaps the worst war crime we ever committed (and I am someone who believes we did need to use at least one atomic bomb to prevent the bloodbath of Operation: Downfall). I think this video has been out two weeks, but I haven't been able to force myself to watch it yet as I know the deep, existential shame I am going to feel. Well...here we go.

Sad how arrogant, prideful and war focused the Japanese government had become sacrificing air raid shelter preparation for war production. It is controversial what they did but what else could they have done? Sacrifice more lives in a land war? Never mind how terrible the Japanese treated prisoners. Regardless this is another excellent video. Thanks.

These animations are distinctive in that without the constant flipping of photographs, the viewer can concentrate on the excellent narration. Wonderful job! Tragic story.
