The killing of survivors is a tragic event, but could have been avoided had the Japanese been willing to surrender. Killing airmen in their parachutes began the slaughter (by timeline of the video), and all wars have produced some number of similar events perpetrated by all sides. Once "no quarter/no prisoners" occurrences begin, they are likely to continue. As long as there are wars, we can expect it to happen again. Excellent video.

Guys it wud be great if you cud list the numbers and types of ships and airplanes involved from both sides before getting into the actual events. It's hard to follow the events sometimes if I don't know whicg combatants are involved.

I once had the privilege of meeting a veteran that served aboard one of the pt boats in this battle, I will never forget the look in his eyes when he said he would never forget the burning barges and screaming

Is the asymetrical armament of the Beaufighter unusual? Why was it done like this?

Why did the Japanese air cover have such poor results? Had the Japanese already suffered from the loss of experianced pilots at this point in the war?

8 machine guns in the front! This was the original A-10
