Over the course of several nights, waves of British and American bombers descended upon the city, transforming a historic cultural centre into a firestorm of destruction. The city, filled with refugees fleeing the Eastern Front, became the stage for a devastating clash between military necessity and humanitarian cost.

Id like to see one of your narratives about some of the raids in the American French and Indian Wars. Some exciting stuff there.

I read some time ago from a source I fail to remember at this time, the statistics of civilian casualties was greatly exaggerated by joseph goerbels propagandist machine in an effort to color Allied policies as similar to those of the nazis. Does anyone else have information to this new research?

Thanks for this detailed narrative, I would love to see your teams excellent skill applied to the Korean and Vietnam war, as these are less well known, especially in detail.

Another amazing piece of scholarship so much more valuable with the animated maps. I particularly enjoy the historiography of accounts that have spun the narrative. The discussion of the efficacy and morality of the strategic bombing campaign.

This is why I support the channel. They're teaching me all the things the History channel in the 90's didn't cover.

Strange but just coincidence 👍

Nations make war. Whether a soldier or war material laborer, those that support warfare are fair game. A conscripted soldier is no more guilty than a patriotic citizen that cheers the victories of his nation. Building munition factories in urban areas does not make urban areas off limits. Civilian deaths and especially those of children are horribly tragic, but they have always been and will always be an unfortunate cost of wars being waged by their parents whether soldier or civilian.

So are you in collaboration with the WWII US Bombers Channel? Because I believe he was the one to do a deep dive on the munitions selection at Dresden and you both had Bismark Sea videos around the same time.
