Update 1.17

go! Here's a little bit of what I've done with this update.
~Day 10 for Spencer
~Day 13 for Coach Grifter - Added in some new outfits for him. Thanks to Troy
for his pledge and the request on one outfit! Gave me an idea of how I
could use it and get some story in, and it turned out great. Thanks to CursedMarked for the great work on it too!
I didn't do as much work on the... technical aspects of the game this
time. I have a lot of facial updates to do still, and I still need to
go through and add music all over the place. The music adds a lot more
life to it, but I have to decide on the right music too! I actually did
a couple more backgrounds too, revolving around Grifter, so he won't
have as many grey screens behind him. Personally, I'd love to have
images drawn of all the BGs, but right now, this is the best I can do!
Thanks again to everyone for your constant support. Have comments or feedback? I'm always open to hear what you guys think, so always share! Also, keep in mind, if you find in crashes or bugs, let me know! If it crashes, try starting your file over and see if it crashes again at the same point. If so, snag a screenshot and send it my way! Or, copy the text and send me a message. That always helps me out, as I do miss things from time to time when checking for these errors. And so you don't have to read ALLLLL the text again, don't forget, you can go into Preference and set the Skip Text message to ALL. From there, just hold down CTRL to skip text faster.
As well, if you find any type of inconsistency in the story, let me know! Sometimes, it's hard to keep up with, but I really try to make sure I keep it straight! Each character's storyline is different though, so continuity with weather and details like that don't count x3

Is there a dream for Grifter's route? I have one locked outfit sprite for him and I was wondering. If not, then I believe it would nice to see him in one.

Thanks! I was using a save file I have from your demo going up to day 7. If I need to start the route over, I'm fine with that. Also I loved Spencer and the MC's relationship in the story. Kind of makes me jealous of the long-time friendship and how easy it is for them to develop a closer bond.

Hmm, a couple of reasons. If you've loaded up an old save file from Coach's route, it could be causing issues. Sometimes, the variables bug out, and you just have to start the file over. And you don't need Windows 10!

I have a problem and a question. First, I was doing Grifter's route in day 10 and when I tried to click some of the things in the shower, it gives me an error message saying something about the code of the action's condition and evaluation. Can you give me some help? And do I need to use Windows 10 to play this?

Having asked a similar question on Tumblr for Spencer, I figure it would be problematic for Spencer to do that, but not impossible and still very much in character. That said, I would love to see the look of disgust on his face whenever the MC will tell him he loves DARIUS. To Spencer it would be like he just hit the bottom of the barrel.

Yeah, he can be a bit more of a pervert than I reeeally intended him to be, but I suppose that someone who hasn't really had a chance to express himself sexually would act the way he does! Uuuhh, I remember reading it! I could have sworn I replied to it too. I'll have to take another look x3!

Thank you, thank you! I felt Spencer looks great in red myself ;3 I was a bit surprised when I put that on him. I DID consider that, but with the program I'm using, rendering it and working on it with a bunch of ground clutter to make it look more grown up was really making my computer drag, and render improperly x3 If I change up the direction of the backgrounds, that's certainly what I'll be doing!

Im not saying Maria isnt a wingman but yknow Spencer has been friends with the protag for years and id just like to some more involvemwnt and support in other routs ;^)

An interesting update, not so much in the way of forward progress but sets-up quite a bit for the future. I especially like the subtle shift in the dynamic between Spencer and the MC, with their relationship shifting from just friends to something more they are in uncharted territory and their interactions have more hesitancy and uncertainty instead of the easygoing fluidity they're used to. It's a realistic aspect that not many people would have thought to include so kudos for that. On a side note I'll add that Spencer looks particularly fetching in red. In the Coach's route I had one thought, you may have already considered this but the background for his yard looks the same when you start working as when you're done (after dark not withstanding). Depending on how much effort it take to implement, having the yard start out more overgrown and the pool murky and filled with debris would add more immersion to the narrative.

Damn Grifter, your outfit makes you super hot. I also had this at the back of my mind with the underwear scene while choosing "Good thing I was late" : <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJAk8yhAP0k" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJAk8yhAP0k</a> Spencer's update was interesting for the questions he asks you I'd say, although I'm seeing a pattern like every character seem to dislike/get uncomfortable whenever you mention something sexual, will Darius be the exception ? Also the MC is kinda really a pervert, it never struck me before, but when he gets to the showers, all he can think about is Spencer's genitals. Are you sure he's not Darius' lost brother or something ? I realize now that I would've hated Spencer if I had known him in middle-school. I was so straight-forward and unfunny I would've been offended by his snarkiness Chester style. BTW, did you receive my question on Tumblr ? It was from 2 or 3 months ago, it was supposed to be for Spencer, if he had like non-stop girl stalkers, if so then how did he get rid of them (if he managed/wanted), did he tell them he was gay or did he keep it to himself until he told the truth to the MC ? I think it was that, I don't remember exactly. Additionally, was he tempted by another man ?

Hmm, if you're getting that error, it has something to do with continuing a save file. YOu'd have to start over from the beginning right now. Just check the notes here on how to get through that quickly!

would it be possible to involve Spencer in the other romances more as sort of wingman? I just figured since he is considered to be the protags best friend and I liked that he found and gave the coach's address to you.

Yeah, i agree. I'm liking the romantic buildup on the routes myself, especially on coach's and Chester's route. Builds a much stronger foundation for steamy stuff later instead of the sex just feeling out of place and awkward. (although it would be hot if Spencer and the MC kissed.) and DyneWulf dem feeeells are the BEST!!

Yeah, that's something I wanted to avoid with mine. I wanted there to be some development BEFORE that happens x3 It kinda kills some of the feelings you can develop along the way when you throw the player right in to it!

i really do like that there's a build up to having a romantic relationship, it feels extremely realistic. so many other bara novel games just throw sex at you right away and it have the characters fuck instantly and that feels rather out of place at times lol

Oh it definitely exceeded those hopes! Absolutely loved being surprised by it when I went back, I actually did a double take! So glad my little idea could help spur more story element ideas into his route, I'm excited to see what comes of it! Hoping to get to see him in those overalls every so often as well~

Just finished coach's playthrough and at first i thought it was just gonna be a filler day helping him out witch is fine , but then that bomb cell at the end. All i can say is AMAZING!! I thought that would take a lot longer to happen. Now we just have to wait for something more steamy to happen in the future (for any of the routes). I know, am bad. lol If you need any help choosing what music would fit best with what scene maybe do a vote. Happy to hear your considering adding more music, adds so much to a scene or conversation. Your doing great work DyneWulf, as always!!

The ending was unexpected.. pleasantly unexpected.. what am i kidding XD... it was freaking romantically hot :) Can't wait to see a party with all the guys at coach's house.. we might get a scene with old naughty Darius.. spying on the player and Grifter kissing.. or getting drunk and after waking up..seeing the player , Grifter and Darius in the same bed.. or with Chester..damn, the posibilities are endless

Oh my god that was great! So sincere and sweet, and that ending actually took me off guard! Absolutely loved his new outfit, although I wish he took off that tank top and just had the overalls, but still they looked amazing on him! Absolutely can't wait to see what you have planned for the date, and hope to have him catch me taking a dip in his pool when he gets home sometime, heh. Maybe have it as a side route that you can go to whenever the day is over?

I love how coach's route is turning out - he is easily becoming one of the routes I would go over numerous times, well apart from Spence of course haha And re: the haiku of the coach, is it supposed to be that way or is that a part of the story? I'm trying not to spoil it xD
