Windows Force Closing the novel? I have a question.
🕑 Added 2016-11-08 13:21:44 +0000 UTChThe While in pursuit of trying to find out WHY this is happening, I posted in the Ren'Py forums. If someone who is having an issue with the game being force closed by Windows, can you check your "game" folder in Ren'Py and see if you have a traceback.txt file for right after the game was forced to close? If so, please share the text with me here. Even if someone has already shared something, share what you have. I'm hoping maybe that will help guide me to what the problem could be. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if a traceback file is created when Ren'Py is forced to close like it's been happening for people. But please, if you've encountered this issue, check for that text file and share it with me.

It seems the game does NOT make a traceback text if the game force closes.

Doesn't seem clearing persistent data helps either.

If you save on the beginning of the next day in a previous version, just after the glitch, you can skirt around the glitch.

I just tried to get it to crash on that version and it passed that point with no errors. But yes, it was at that point. If you check community posts its in there with a screenshot (my post).

If I recall, 1.24 updated the Ren'Py version, which could have caused any number of weird issues. Does it happen in 1.25? It was the one around when you get dressed for Coach's date, right?

I just zoomed through it and never had a crash error. Weird

Something much have changed from 1.23 to 1.24 to causs this error to happen because i was able to get around the drash by downloading the earlier version.

The error I'm referring to tends to pop up in Coach's route. People have a problem with Windows force-closing the game not Ren'Py not showing a crash log.

Unfortunately I have since migrated my game from where I store it so anything from previous versions has been deleted. I should be able to flash through coach's story later tonight and see if it still crashes/makes a report file like you mentioned.
