I'm sorry to say, but if the changes go through, I will be cancelling all my pledges to creators at the end of the month. I only am able to support a few creators at low tiers, and the changes are going to be adding an extra 20% or so to my monthly charges which I can not sustain. I truly hope they don't go through with this as I would love to continue to support the people here.

Patreon handles new pledges and changes of pledges in an odd way during the earlier parts of the months and seems to make more recent posts inaccessible for a certain period of time (I think it's to prevent fraud). It's something I can't actually control, so give it a day or two and check again, or when I make my next update on the 16th, it should be good to go!

hi dilan , sorry if i couldn't pay in advice but, i had some terrible time, anyway now i pledged with 10 dollars for the spancer patch, but when i go to the page it say, that i have to purchase...why?

Well, thank you~ I'm not as worried about it as some people, because it affects people that have a large number of $1 pledgers the most, I think. I've lost a handful of Patrons, unfortunately, but I'm not as concerned about my bottom line as I am about the satisfaction of my followers right now D8

I'm sticking by my bigger pledges, including this one, for now. I know some creators are really anxious about lost pledges impacting their bottom lines, and maybe you are too; I hope that your patrons stay calm and things settle down for you all soon.

I'm totally okay with this :). Your work is amazing and you should be getting as much of the earnings from your hard work as possible. I'm just not sure how the new fees actually balance out for both the creators and the patrons.

Actually, after doing some research on my own, this turns out to be a horrible thing for patron and creators. Since we're having to pay more and you're actually receiving less of our money overall based on the total amount we are spending. Going to mention something that might not prove popular, but if there is concern for people who will find this difficult, why not reduce the cost of the pledge by the same equivalent as the rise in charge to each person? You would get the same amount as before, and users would remain happy at the reduced cost to avoid having to dump some patreons.

this is a great change! this means that you get more money to put towards the project and your personal health and well being, i didnt know that you only got 80-88% of the pledge and i'm happy that now you are getting the money you deserve since your work is just SO GOOD X3! here's hoping that the project continues to go smoothly and the extra money lets you implement all the extra little things and features you have wanted to!

The recently updated how they handle NSFW content, but it was mostly aimed at certain groups of people doing webcam shows and porn, I do believe (like, actual porn). So, there should be no worries here! :)

Cept patreon doesn't get a cent more since the service fee's came out of the creators pay package, Buisness wise you can see it as the creator is now charging you shipping to receive the product. Although if you wanna be outraged go right ahead I guess.

If paying a small processing fee means creators get to keep more of my actual pledge, then I'm totally okay with that. I'm not gonna be like those folks who used to call my call center job complaining about a $0.01 increase in their taxes. (I sincerely wish I were joking about that.)

It's worth it for us to give a little more for you to get a little more, so in reality it's worth it for you.

I believe that's ok. It's best insured that creators get as much as they should for what they create. Everything has it's taxes. It's not too much.
