Exploring Friscott
🕑 Added 2024-11-01 05:14:47 +0000 UTCHappy Halloween, everyone! (At least, here, it's still Halloween somewhere! I really wanted to post this tonight, I'm going ahead with a soft launch on Patreon! I spent most of today testing and fixing things, and it appears to be in pretty good order. There's a fair amount of dialog and branches to sift through, so it's possible I still missed something, but it can always be fixed if it pops up! (Forgive me if you encounter any bugs!)
Exploring Friscott is styled after the "Choose Your Own Adventure" type games. You are an adventurer going into Friscott Castle to see what treasures you can find within. Explore the castle, meet the residents, find treasure and more. Be mindful though, as the castle isn't normal, and there are things about it that might drive a person to madness. That, or it might spell your demise.
I tried something new with this project and wanted to allow the player to be able to play in a variety of ways. You can play as a man, woman or nonbinary character, and there are men and women options for the more NSFW choices in the game. If you prefer to play through without NSFW content, you can do so as well!
There are 4 preset characters you can choose from, or you can set up your own custom character that will appear in the "Information" screen! It's an easy process for those of you that might want to use your OCs. (Just be warned, you can die in the game! And I'm not very gentle with it.) Just check the game > custom_char folder for more details on how to add your own character art into the game!
I'm not going to say too much more about it and just let you guys dive right in to check it out! There are still some things I'd like to add to it. All of the art I was hoping to add didn't quite get finished, but I plan on updating it later to add things that are missing.

I will add that this game wasn't made with the intention on you being able to clear it perfectly on your first go. It's set up in a way where it will probably require a fair amount of trial and error, but things move quickly, so... Good luck! If you've ever played any games in the style, I'm sure you'll understand why that is!
