🕑 Added 2022-04-27 17:37:10 +0000 UTCSo as I was saying in my weekly update I wanted to talk about a new upcoming project. You may ask what more to talk about we just want to fuck some girls. Alright, I understand you :d but the question is how you want to get to that certain point.
I will give you some small spoilers of what that new game will look like. I won't say anything about the story just some details about its theme. The game will be sorta open world and let me just say it it's not going to be sandbox(it's that type of game where there is no goal you just wander around the so-called open world until you find nothing and delete it forever). I will be doing an open-world game where you will know what to do. After progressing there will be new stuff opening in the world where you can get your rewards, for example, you do some story mission you have made some juicy stuff with that girl, and now you can go back home and do the same more juicy stuff with her. I am still trying to do a system that rewards you for doing some quest in the world I am making.
The game will have three-time cycles there won't be day or night, that's one small spoiler for this game ;). In those three cycles, characters can be found in different places and be fucked differently or interacted somehow. I am planning to update the game in phases. One phase will have story missions that will need to be done to progress and side missions that can be skipped. Once you do all the needed story missions, you can go to the next phase, which will have new missions and new side quests. Some side quests you skipped earlier can block you from doing the next side quest in the future. The side quest will mostly impact the world I am making and some girls will be locked if you dont do a side quest. I dont want to make this game a grind fest, but I still dont have an idea of what the side quest will look like. Dont know if my game needs some sort of minigames in them, but those minigames are the easy way out for most of the open-world games. I dont want to force the player to do sudoku so that he could fuck a girl :D
The game atmosphere. This game will be horror, fantasy... To be honest similar to Bright Lord. I am aiming to do a cyberpunk environment. It will be dark and gritty and not so friendly. I am aiming to do an easy-to-navigate an open world. I hope I will manage to make a game where you dont get lost in the house :D. The characters you are going to interact with will have their sprites animated when you interact with them. Of course, they will not be animated in the story mission just in the city where they have their routine. The city will have three factions and dont expect something original... As always the sorta good guys. The sketchy guys and the fanatics. I still dont know how many girls each faction will have. So by doing story missions, each faction will have an interest in what you have found there and after that, you will have to decide which faction you will be working with. So the side quest will be responsible for the world change the story missions and factions on your game ending.
So now the scary part... Fetishes. Yes, it will have all the fetishes that Bright Lord has. But I will have more and I need to talk about this with you guys. More fetishes result in a bigger player base and a bigger player base results in bigger earnings. But some fetishes may not be fun for the certain fan base I have right now. So let me give you an example of an event.
You and a girl do lots of missions, you bond together speak with each other, and have fun on a mission, but suddenly one mission is very risky and both of you nearly die, but you survived, thanks to you. Both of you come back home everybody is very happy seeing you come back safe. You look at that girl with a happy look but soon the moment is ruined because her boyfriend rushes to hug her. You and the girl make eye contact and that eye contact is saying different things. She wants to be with you at this moment. She is a good girl and she starts to have a conflict in her head, she starts to feel affection towards you. She still doesn't want to break her boyfriend's heart she is resisting the urge. You both go on a mission together and you start talking about that eye contact moment, you both feel warm and you finally kiss. From that moment the girl is lost and sooner or later she falls for you completely.
So for some people, this looks like a normal situation. But some people will scream NTR the girl has a boyfriend already THIS IS A CUCKS GAME. Some will say this is not for me sorry and leave like a sane person. What I am trying to say that I dont want to make the player get cucked, but I want the player to win a girl that has a boyfriend. But if she is having a boyfriend of course she is getting fucked by him. I won't show it in the game how she is getting fucked(I can make it optional of course). But still, it's not for all. Some people hate the idea that the girl is being fucked by someone else. You may ask me why I am doing this to you? It's nothing personal, but I just think the payoff with that girl would feel heavier. Like you won her. She is now yours. And to be honest writing stories for harem is very boring. The player is just waiting for the dev to make an update because he knows he will fuck her sooner or later. I kinda aiming to make it choice decision if the girl will fall for you or she will stay with her boyfriend. It's just my thoughts and nothing is final. And yeah I won't be making Jamal army just so you could get cucked. It will be only a few girls that will have boyfriends. But like I said writing harem is SOOO BORING.
It's not a very fluent text I wrote here it has a lot of ideas I got in mind. This project has to be good so I could be known as a legit developer. I will be investing 7-10k in this game. This game has to be one of the best out there. Enjoy some WIP of the girl I am making for the next game. Please give some feedback on my ideas.

What do you mean with you have to push yourself more? You mean include more kinks(just for the kinks)? Make the girls sluttier? ust saying a lot of good games/devs were ruined that way... It just became more extreme with every game/update at the end it had no soul. So I hope you don't mean that, do you?

Well, I hate those kinds of VN but If I want to be better I need to push myself more. Bright lord is easy to make it has nothing challenging in it, well now... When i started it was too hard for me to even put variables on the girls

That system sounds interesting. I think I have faith in you to do the things right! Because I like that your girls are sexy but no whores. I liked every scene in Bright Lord (exept the photoshooting and the Emily clothing store scenes, those two were the only ones were I thought it was a bit too much tbh) so I hope you will stick with that! And I think the MC was alright, he was not a desperate drooling pervert and not a whiny wimp/cuck which is better than 80% AVNs. 😉😂

MC will be gay, He won't have sex in the game. Just joking by the way :D I will try doing something more in a situation like this. Like progressing with a certain faction will lock the girls from other factions. For instance, the fanatics will not care if you cheat on them with other girls, etc

Having a choice really matters. But what I try to say is it should also feel natural. In a lot of games the "choice" is reject don't reject. But I think that's too little, because saying no to a girl who wants to suck your **** is unrealitsic. So if you are a player who maybe just wants to go for one or two girls at the same time, having to say no to all kinds of things feels ridiculous after a while.

Well, I will agree with your second point. You just said it yourself in point 1 that some people want to go for the bad girl others for the good girl that would devote herself to you. I think having a choice is always welcomed by a player.

Sometimes its unrealistic. Sometimes its boring. Because as you said you know you get the girl in the end. My solution to that would be add character/alignment to your girls. Or in other words not every girl fits to every player and not every player fits to every girl. I would advocate for you to do reflect that in game. That would add A LOT of variety and repeatability. There are already games out there that do that for example Being A Dik. You can get a (mini) harem or you stick with one girl. You can get the "good girl" and you can get the "bad girls". It just requires you to go with a certain affinity. I would maybe suggest a similar system for you new game. In this way you could satisfy those players who like a wholesome monogamous romance and those who like a badass "player" with a big harem at the same time. Both sides would feel rewarding because from the "player" certain girls are excluded and from the lets call it more conservative players some girls would be excluded at well. It would also increase replayablity A LOT which is important if you want to go big. I played BAD 8 times already. Thats because NOT everyting is available to everyone. Exclusive content is important. Even big games like Cyberpunk or Dying Light noticed that and try to jump on that train. 2. Why would stealing a girl "feel more rewarding"? Why should she be "more yours" than a girl who committed herself in a normal way to you? My personal experience tells me different. My best friend did exactly that a few years ago convinced a girl to leave her boyfriend for him. What did she do? Leave him a year later for another one... So I dont really understand the reasoning.

I think it’d be best to focus on Bright Lord right now, then worry about a new game once it’s completed. I think your current patrons (including me) support you because of bright lord!

I am not a fan of trying to take a girl from a possible friend. That just seems cheap. Now this might seem strange in a game where one of the fetishes is mind control and D/S, but it just feels off. There is also the concept of Poly, but that might be too advanced for a porn game.

Sounds interesting. As someone who doesn't have a problem with most fetishes, except scat just find it nasty >_>, you'll always get those people who just cry if every girl isn't a pure never seen another man super virgin, even characters that are moms, so just ignore them lol. Most people I'm sure will be fine if most things are optional, or have a heads up if a choice will lead to a certain fetish. Good luck on the game and your Bachelors.
