Edits to chapters 2, 17, 66, 78 and 83: Chapter 2 - Minor Edit for the first time Perry says Fair 'nuff He raised an eyebrow at me. When he did, I realized I'd abbreviated the words by habit. It was one of the few phrases that were nearly the same as English. And Perth used to do it back when he'd been thirteen. Thankfully, Calbern didn't call me out on it, simply nodding in return and guiding us back to Perth's corner of the complex. Chapter 17 - Minor change to foreshadow Perth's dislike of the word necessary. Accepting the list, I rubbed at my head, trying to ignore his phrasing. Hated it when people used that word. Necessary. I pushed the thought to the side, focusing on the paper. Not only had he listed things out, he’d provided illustrations beside each one. Some of his suggestions I’d expected, like the aforementioned bridge or the cistern. But he also had a design for a passive water pump that I was pretty sure would’ve been next to impossible to design on Earth. Chapter 66 - Minor change to Nexxa's note That was it, written two dozen times on a page ripped from her grimoire. Most of them partially written, with other scattered words after them before it was crossed out. Over and over, she'd attempted to say more. And failed. I... could really understand that. It wasn't much, but it gave me hope. Hope that we could salvage our relationship. Chapter 78 - Added a mention about Neta coming back. The next hour passed in a daze. The entire time, I remained by Tresla's side, channeling Minor Heal into her. It was the only thing I could do. After the first few minutes, I finally felt a change. Her breathing had grown steady, yet she didn't stir. A bush let loose a clump of snow, and I prepared to defend myself, but it was only Neta slinking back. As the rope-cat wrapped herself in place, I was vaguely aware of the sound of combat to the west. It had lasted far too long. Chapter 83 - Minor changes to Thozgar's section. The report was surprisingly positive regarding the young Magus Dominus. That was to say, it only had three pages of obvious flaws that they could move to exploit. Surprisingly few, considering the sudden influx of refugees Thozgar had sponsored. They'd been fleeing anyway, and while it was less than ideal, at least in the young Magus's territory, Thozgar could send help. It was unfortunate that the storm made open scry connections so difficult. He’d anticipated demands for food or other concessions. Yet Thozgar's representative hadn't contacted him. Lost during the voyage, according to the report. Another sign of those working against him. Thankfully, the Magus Dominus had simply accepted his people, and then, even more surprisingly, provided for them.
