Is there any way to deal with misinformation, if say there is a government institution to check for misinformation, it will end up being biased eventualky, and without stopping misinformation, things will keep on getting worse, dosent it mean that eventually all of society will crumble...

Political scientists Martin Gilens of Princeton University and Benjamin Page of Northwestern University studied some 2,000 opinion polls over the last 20 years and recently concluded that the opinions of 90% of Americans have essentially no impact on lawmaking at all. This reflects the situations of abortion and gun control of which the vast majority support and yet here we are. Your thoughts?
