The Wayhaven Chronicles—Update+ 04/Sept/2020

Man, this year is so slow and so long at the same time, hehe :D
But focusing on this week, it was a good one!
Monday was a bank holiday, so I had an extra day away from tech and internet to refresh my brain. And it REALLY worked!
Came back on Tuesday with a bunch of ideas for shifts in chapter 3. Some of you may have seen on instagram that I deleted one scene and replaced it (with a much better and interesting scene!), as well as switching things around for A's scene and adding stuff to N's.
Also on Tuesday I worked on getting the demo up together.
Then from then on it was just head down and back to chapter 3! It's a really bitty chapter to write. What I mean by that is, it's made up of lots of bits so it's really odd to write. When I play it, I will be making sure it all flows smoothly and doesn't read like how it's felt to write it, hehe :D I think it will read fine, but I want to make sure just in case!
I'm actually really close to finishing it now (only F's POV scene, and then M's choice set and POV to go!), which will be nice! I'm keen to get onto a new chapter!
For Creek Edge, there wasn't as much this week because I was so focused on the demo release. I coded in the backgrounds I have and started on deciding which expressions to have for the MC.
And of course the demo released this week!! I truly, truly hope you guys have enjoyed that and it's got you hyped for what's to come :D

Ah, the past couple of weeks have been busy here, so I'm trying to catch up on so much! Thanks again for the demo, it was lovely!! Hope you've had a great weekend and got some rest! I'm in awe with how much goes into these chapters! Ohh, I am quite curious about M's POV now, especially after that last scene with the detective. Whoa. Yeah, they may have had some fun at first, but can't blame the detective for falling for M after all that and then feeling hurt when M clearly does not feel the same way with such a harsh response. 😢

I want to know who is getting the nose kiss. I have just loved the demo. I am so in love with the entire team and I now have a notebook full of details about each of my detectives. I love being able to make a unique character for each team member. Thank you for writing a book that allows me to be creative as well.
