The Wayhaven Chronicles—Update+ 31/July/2020

On the one side my sister had her baby! I am now an aunt!! I know I'm probably biased, but honestly guys, he is ADORABLE and SO BEAUTIFUL!!! We haven't been able to see him yet because of covid restrictions, but we've seen him over video call. I could just stare at him for hours. My sister was a champ and handled it all in her stride. So much love happening right now!
And then on the other extreme, Flint-one of my rattie boys- got seriously ill (the same day my sister went into hospital). I really thought I was going to lose him on Tuesday. He's seen a specialist and I'm waiting on test results, which is the longest wait I've ever had in my life.
So, a pretty major week personally, but even through that I got a ton done!
For Book Three, I got all of the 'common' opening for chapter 3 finished, including the variations, and got a start on the first of 4 split scenes. I'm really excited for this chapter. I mean, I'm excited for them all :D But this one should be rather interesting as it's not a type of chapter I've written in a while.
For Curse of Creek Edge, I finished shading all of the hairstyles and managed to make each hairstyle fit and work with each of the 5 base choices!
An exhausting but productive week, of which I was really grateful to have writing and Wayhaven to escape to. Next week should be more settled, so I'm really hoping to hammer ahead, as well as make a leap forward on the demo again.

For Update+ this week, I thought I'd share a bit of how my real life affected my writing:
'I follow alongside a small brook which babbles and mazes down one side of the property. It's tranquillity almost lulls me closer as my body aches with exhaustion, but I resist its call and plod over the springy mud ground towards the property.'
Could have done with a lovely walk by a stream this week, so I let my imagination do it for me :D Writing really is such an amazing escape for me. I don't know how I could manage without it sometimes!

Congratulations on your new nephew! I love mine more than anything! I'm so sorry to hear about Flint. My fur baby has been sick for about a month (long day at the animal hospital today) and Wayhaven has been a great escape from the anxiety, so thank you for that.

I hope Flint will be ok, and if the worse does come to pass (though I'm fairly sure it won't) I am gonna send you lots of love and hugs because I know being worried about your animal family members sucks. Also, I've been dreaming of Nate alot and I'm sure he, Felix, and Adam would give you lots of love and hugs and support. ...Mason might just, ya know, be around, in case you need him.

Oh gosh! Congratulations to your sister! But I hope that Flint gets better soon! It defiantly sounds like an emotionally exhausting week. Hopefully you get Flint's test results soon and its nothing but good news <3 Hopefully you get some rest and relaxation this weekend!
