The Wayhaven Chronicles—Update+ 07/May/2021

Last Sunday was the Patreon release of the final demo, then Tuesday was the merchandise release, and then yesterday was the public release of the demo!!
I also just want to say THANK YOU for all the wonderful and seriously awesome comments on the demo release!! I was supposed to be on bank holiday break when it released here, but I couldn't resist popping in to check if you were all enjoying it, and I honestly cried at the response! To receive such support after all the work that went into it...I can't tell you how much that means to me <3 <3 <3
But yeah, it was pretty hectic one this week, as you can imagine, hehe! So apologies for the lack of asks on Tumblr this week. I really didn't get a chance to do those in amongst everything else.
Especially as I was writing frantically in the hopes of getting the base writing for Chapter 7 finished as well, which I did!!! Yay!!
It was a pretty heavy chapter narratively speaking, but it really opened up some things which I've been desperate to introduce. Some heart-wrenching stuff, but so satisfying to write! Except F's scene, because seeing F in pain is just....no...do not like at all....never again.... :D
So yeah, with Chapter 7's base writing done, that means next week I can focus on editing, rewriting, and redrafting. I know there's already a few bits I want to add into it.
I'm really hoping things will be a bit smoother and calmer now the demo and merchandise are out, and I can shift back into more of my usual routine. Which also means I can get to Creek Edge again, as I was seriously happy with how that was progressing. Have some very exciting news about that in the future too!
Also, instead of the usual YouTube Q&A this month, we thought it would be great fun to make it Book Three Demo themed! So more like a fun chat than a full-on Q&A :D
We'd love you to send in any questions about the Book Three demo, the content in it, your favourite moments, things that made you smile or laugh, or anything like that to get the chat flowing on the video! You can do so on the comments or PMs here, Tumblr asks, or Instagram!
We'll be recording the video on the 19th May, so get in anything you'd like before that day!

I pinch at the paper with the lightest touch, worried I might crumple the pencil drawing that clearly shows a stunning woman with a striking resemblance to ${felix}.
"Why did the demons go after you both?"
$!{felix}'s gaze shoots away from the portrait to the other side of the room before rubbing at ${f_his} arm. After a moment, ${f_she} whips the paper from my grasp and shoves it away, shaking ${f_his} head.

Question for Q&A: Not sure if the answer will constitute a spoiler, but I am dying to know why A wouldn't drink any blood during the breakfast scene? They always seem so comfortable being a vampire, to have them suddenly be apprehensive around the Detective was a moment that really stood out for me in their romance.

Questions for Q&A: 1. I have to know how Morgan was feeling if MC decided not to forgive her after the bakery scene. Like if the detective chooses to say “I wish that was enough” or simply just walks away, how does Morgan feel?! Because she better be as crushed as my poor lil MC after the bakery scene. 2. If you don’t get the scene where you realize Morgan’s pheromones effect the MC while fighting the trappers, will it be revealed eventually? Also I just wanted to say how much I loved the breakfast scene with UB. I feel like there are going to be so many more scenes like that with book 3 based off of what we’ve seen so far and I’m so excited for it!! Thank you for this amazing series.

Question for the Q&A! Was the whole "Detective, I-" moment with N before they fled to the fight going to be an ILY moment? or is it too soon for N to be feeling that way? Also, second question: if you refused to stay behind during the fight in N's route, will the argument carry over into the next few scenes + be discussed? Like how M's argument was? Or is it already resolved by the end of the bird-man fight?

Honestly? I Freaking Loved the Demo. I've played through it six times so far. Each time I do, one thought sticks in my mind: "God I hope this is nowhere near the actual end of the third book. I need so much more!!"

oh oof! Poor F! I really enjoyed the demo, especially MC's waking up to the dripping rose bubble bath water and the tub crashing through xD I was not expecting anything like that and it made me laugh

I'm so happy for you! 💜 The final piece of the demo was in fact amazing, the long awaited tension in N's route, M's apology and the otherworldy amount of variations their route has, the incredible sweetness and love we got from F, A's dimples! I am still unable to dive into the LT but I'm sure it's heating up as well 😅 Thank you SO much for everything you do!
