"His new work ethic can only be a good thing," Verda offers, looking over to Tina for agreement.
She scrunches up her nose. "Bit weird though, isn't it? And the way he follows [Detective Name] around all the time." She nods towards you. "It's creepy."
Verda sighs. "The boy finally has a role model to follow. It's not as though he's had one of those at home."
Tina smiles. "Oh, bit of a dig at the mayor?"
"We all know it's true," he replies. Tina's smile falls a little as she sighs.

While I admit having Douglas following my Detective aroubd like an abandoned puppy is a little unsettling, he is much easier to deal with than his father.

Yes, we value Doug in this house! He is young, naive and knows nothing about life but he wants change and I'm happy for him - he'll find his way with the right support.

I feel like we should give Douglas some credit for not taking after his father! The Mayor is also a *huge* creep, totally unprofessional, an absolute jerk, and a kiss ass. Dougie is definitely a bit creepy with his hero worship and crush but it’s not nearly as bad as his father... (or Bobby for that matter)
