Something deeper than I imagined stirs within me in that silent embrace of ours then. I'm not sure what it is…or maybe I'm just not sure I want to know.
But the emotion stirs like the beginning of an erupting volcano when Mason's/Morgan's hand smooths across my cheek and rests against my neck, his/her thumb rubbing at my pounding pulse.
"Don't do this to me, sweetheart/handsome," he/she pleads.
I blink out of my trance. "Do what?"
"Tempt me not to go," he/she says. "Because I won't. All I want to do is stay with you right now."
