The Wayhaven Chronicles—Update+ 28/March/2022

I was hoping to push further on the editing but Chapter 8....maaannn, Chapter 8! I love Chapter 8, some BIG moments happen in Chapter 8 for the romances, especially in one particular route, but it's such a mess (for those not aware, the cat decided to add his own sections to the entirety of the chapter, so now I'm having to untangle it all).
SpunkyCat said she was worried I'd have to rewrite it all, and at some points this week, it felt like it might be easier just to do that!
But I am nearly there with untangling all of the Research portions! I should have that finished today or tomorrow, so that will be a massive chunk done.
I'm undecided whether to keep going and just try to get the whole thing done, or take a break from it, get back to writing, and let my brain reform after this week, lol!....Plus I'm seriously eager to get back to writing again. I added some new stuff into Chapter 8 as I was editing, and I was buzzing getting to add even those bits in!
Though saying all that, reading back through Chapter 8 has been so much fun! :D It's easy to forget some small moments as I write so many variations and things, but I can't wait for people to discover them, hehe!

For Update+ this week, a small snippet from my editing that I thought was appropriate considering how lovely the weather has been here!

"Expect what, exactly?" Adam/Ava asks, pausing his/her reading in order to lean back in his/her chair and examine me.
"Your reason to be so…romantic," I decide on. "It is a beautiful day, but you don't seem to notice things like that most of the time."
He/She stares at me for a while longer before dropping his/her gaze and leaning over the file again. "I notice the important things. The important people." He/She pauses. "More than you might think."

Yeah, definitely the best plan! Editing is SO important, but it's also quite draining! So I'll get my flow back with writing and then head back to editing after that :D Hope you had a lovely weekend!
