The Wayhaven Chronicles—Update+ 22/April/2022

Especially 'cause it opens with F's friend scene, and I love writing F in any form, hehe!
I did add in an unplanned chunk to the scene (4,500 words of unplanned...), but that's a pretty usual thing for me by now, especially in Book Three it seems!
But still, even with the unexpected bit, I managed to hit my goal for the week already! Which means I'm starting on the next scene a couple of days earlier than planned. That is always seriously motivating! I'm a very goal-orientated person, so it makes my heart happy to tick things off early, hehe!
Mind you, there was a bit in there that just...ohhhHHhh...*clutches heart*
Next scene is something very exciting though. Some characters and a concept I've been wanting to bring in for ages, as well as the BIG revelation I talked about before. I've been seriously eager to write this scene for soooo long!
It does split into 3 different scenes, but it shouldn't be anywhere as intense as Chapter 11's splits, so much easier (and quicker) to get through.
After that, I have yet more possible character introductions (possible because it's a randomised scene on who you will get!), but I'm trying not to get too excited for that yet and focus on where I'm at which I'll already be starting this afternoon!

"Me and Nate/Nat are together," I state as though Farah/Felix's forgotten. "I don't think there's anything left to tease me about on that."
"Oh come on. There's loads of stuff!" She/He begins listing things off on her/his fingers. "How cute you are together. What Rebecca's gonna say. Talking about marriage until one of you gets super awkward." She/He sucks on her/his bottom lip in thought. "Actually, I think you'd break on that one long before Nate/Nat. I bet he/she's got the venue picked out already—"

I imagine N has five wedding scenario binders by now. What Rebecca has to say! The venue! Marriage! This really made me giddy (not to say my detective doesn’t have some binders of her own 👀) I really just want my detective to be BFF with all of UB! Thanks for the preview! You’re doing wonderfully!

Wow Mishka, you're seriously on a roll! Love seeing your enthusiasm, your work ethic is amazing too 😊 F is such a gem, their scenes are always making me smile, I need a bff like F in my life! But oh F, you're wrong this time, my detective would be just as enthusiastic as N, no way to break her :D though the point about Rebecca's reaction is valid, damn I can't wait to read that in the books. Especially since I still wonder how come she sounded more worried about Nate than Mason in that book 2 carnival scene...😅 Does this snippet show up only if F is MC's bff? Because then I'll likely miss it, my Nate-mancer is closest with M - a very surprising development for everyone involved but I seriously looooove their dynamic!
