That Bit Extra— A New Addiction...?

"I noticed you were almost empty. You want me to get you some more cigarettes while I'm out?" she/he asks in practiced way that makes me think this is a regular thing.
"No."
The room falls silent at Mason/Morgan's simple reply.
Farah/Felix stutters for a moment. "What?"
Mason/Morgan raises a brow in return, only now noticing the intense attention on him/her from the other vampires. A selection of shock and confusion fall across their faces.
"What?" he/she snaps. "I don't need any."
Farah/Felix glances between me and Mason/Morgan—and then again—before a slow smile forms.

I've been waiting to write this small scene since I first thought of it during the writing of Book Two! It was so nice to get it out onto 'paper', hehe! :D

Such a small moment but so sweet. ❤️ But F needs to not give that knowing look! Implying M may care about the MC will only send M into an angry snit they take out on the MC! Everyone needs to walk on eggshells around M till they figure it out, lol.
