The Wayhaven Chronicles Update+ - 14th/July/2023
🕑 Added 2023-07-14 15:13:38 +0000 UTCThings have been a little all over the place schedule-wise this week because of more emergency hospital trips. Think I should ask for some office space up there at this point!
Due to this, I couldn’t get to where I had my goal set, which always makes me antsy. So I’m gonna work this weekend so as I can make sure to meet it.
I’m up to the point where I get to have fun deciding for a certain big variation scene!
Basically, it’s going to be the combat and research scenes, but I want them to play out differently in this book.
The game mechanics will be the same in that it will still add towards either supernatural research or combat stats, but narratively I want it to be different this time around instead of just ‘let’s look over some books’ or ‘let’s spar together’.
And although I know I’ve wanted it to be this way in book four, now is the time I need to actually decide the specific scenes for each love interest.
Already have a couple of ideas I’m already desperate to write!
So yeah, not the week we were planning for but next week we’ll hopefully be able to get back on track!

I am going to try my hardest so there's no 'better' option, it's just a different way - kind of like I do stat checks already, where even a fail isn't awful, it's just a different variation.

I have been research so far even though JB is no slouch at combat. I am curious, is it better to specialize in one or have some in each? I have a feeling things will get more intense and I don't mean just the romance LOL

When you give us small hints about the book it reminds me of an old Ferrero Rocher advert where they are being handed out at a dinner party and one of the guests says 'Monsieur, with these chocolates you are spoiling us.' You are spoiling us with little snippets of information. When you mention the ballroom scenes I cant help but think about the video for the Backstreet Boys song Everybody. Can just imagine Bravo rocking out in perfectly synchronised moves...not.
