If A gets to participate in this scene, I could see the Detective falling asleep against their shoulder during the movie. Not wanting to stay but not wanting to go, A would settle in for the night, letting the detective sleep on their shoulder, wrapping one protective arm around them while keeping the other one balled up tight.
